Wyckoff Police July 25, 2024 Press Release

On July 24, at approximately 4 PM, Wyckoff Police responded to Goffle Road for a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle, down in the roadway. The 26-year-old male pedestrian from Hawthorne NJ was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson by the Ridgewood Ambulance and Valley Hospital Paramedics with non-life-threatening injuries. The preliminary investigation indicates that the pedestrian was attempting to cross Goffle Road, in an area where there are no crosswalks, when he was struck by the southbound vehicle. The 75-year-old female driver from Englewood NJ remained on scene after the accident and fully cooperated with the investigation. Wyckoff Police were assisted at the scene by the Ridgewood Police Department, Midland Park Police Department, and Ridgewood Fire and EMS. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Wyckoff Police Traffic Bureau at 201-891-2121.


The Wyckoff Police Department would like to point out that the above individuals have been charged with a crime, offense, and or motor vehicle violations. However, they are presumed innocent unless and until they are found guilty in a court of law.

We cannot stress enough the value of our residents remaining alert in their neighborhoods and reporting anything unusual or suspicious to the police, “Hear It! See It!, Report It!”
