Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Department Chief Luis Guzman announce that on August 11, 2024, at approximately 3:25 a.m., Passaic Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 224/226 6th Street in Passaic following a report of shots fired. Upon their arrival, officers found the victim, a 33-year-old male from Passaic, with a gunshot wound to his chest. The victim was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
