Secaucus Police Blotter 08/05/2024 to 08/11/2024

On 08/05/2024 at 11:34 AM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to theft of gift cards that occurred at the Division of Child Protection and Permanency located at 1 Harmon Meadow Boulevard, the police responded to 400 Plaza Drive and arrested a 54-year-old female, Veronica Franklin of Paterson, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Franklin was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 08/07/2024 at 9:26 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Regal Movie Theater located at 650 Plaza Drive on a report of a dispute that turned into an assault. During the investigation, the police arrested a 16-year-old male of Union City, NJ for Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(1)] and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4D], specifically a rock. The Juvenile male was issued a Juvenile complaint warrant. Officers from the Hudson County Correctional Facility responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of the juvenile male for transport to the Essex County Juvenile Detention Center.

On 08/07/2024 at 9:28 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Red Lobster located at 700 Plaza Drive on a report of a theft of services incident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35-year-old female, Natalie Silva of Mahwah, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Silva was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.

On 08/08/2024 at 9:37 AM, the Secaucus Police were notified of a Forgery incident that occurred at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. During the investigation, the police arrested a 59-year-old male, Robert Williams of Linden, NJ for 2 counts of Forgery [2C:21-1A(2)], 2 counts of Forgery [2C:21-1A(3)], 2 counts of Tampering with Public Records [2C:21-4A] and Conspiracy to commit Tampering with Public Records [2C:5-2A(1)]. At 11:37 AM on the same date, the police also arrested a 51-year-old female, Jasmine Lopez of Newark, NJ for 2 counts of Forgery [2C:21-1A(2)], 2 counts of Tampering with Public Records [2C:21-4A] and Conspiracy to commit Tampering with Public Records [2C:5-2A(1)]. Both Mr. Williams and Ms. Lopez were arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Both Mr. Williams and Ms. Lopez were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 08/09/2024 at 5:20 PM, Secaucus Police received information regarding possible Prostitution occurring within a specific room at the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 44-year-old female, Arianna Barcia-Godoy of Brooklyn, NY for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)], Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)], Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Money Laundering [2C:21-25A]. Barcia-Godoy was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 08/10/2024 at 3:04 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 39-year-old male, Leonardo Blanco-Salcedo of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Blanco-Salcedo was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On 08/10/2024 at 3:08 PM, the Secaucus Police were advised of a theft incident that occurred at an event taking place at the Meadowlands Exposition Center located at 355 Plaza Drive. During the investigation, the police arrested a 21-year-old male, Anthony Curichumbe-Guilcapi of North Plainfield, NJ for Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Curichumbe-Guilcapi was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
