Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announce that at approximately 11:10 p.m. on August 23, 2024, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Highland Street and Sparrow Street on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, Paterson police located a 31-year-old male from Paterson, suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds and transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. Members of the Paterson Police Department were able to locate a potential crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
