On August 4, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Bifano stopped a moped with no license plate on Hobart
Ave/Great Oak Dr. The investigation revealed that the moped was reported stolen out of Elizabeth on
June 3,2024. The driver Juwan Price, age 27, of Newark NJ was placed under arrest and charged with
receiving a stolen vehicle.
On August 12, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Genitempo stopped and checked on a 2016 Ford Escape on
Rt 124 stopped in front of an office building. The investigation led to the arrest of Jose Badillomartinez,
age 31, of Bayonne for suspected DWI. Brown was charged with DWI and released to an acquaintance.
On August 12, 2024, Millburn Police located two male suspects who were seen fleeing from a residence
on Sagamore Road. The suspects then entered a stolen vehicle and attempted to evade law
enforcement. Officers pursued the stolen vehicle but were forced to terminate the chase shortly after
due to safety concerns. Investigation revealed that the suspects had entered the Sagamore Road
residence through an unlocked door. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police
Detective Bureau.
On August 14, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Sephora in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just
occurred. Sephora associate reported that Mia Sosa-Paulino, age 18, of Maywood, and Daniela Deoleo,
age 19, of Hackensack concealed a combined total of $264.00 of merchandise and left the store without
paying. The suspects were placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.
On August 17, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Walgreens on a report of theft that just occurred.
Walgreen’s associate reported that Ololade Olaseinde, age 22, and Elijah Mclendon, age 25, both from
Bronx NY concealed a combined total of $240.00 of merchandise and left the store without paying. The
suspects were placed under arrest and charged with conspiracy and shoplifting.
On August 19, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Dundon stopped a 2023 Mazda CX-30 for having a
suspended registration at the Short Hills mall. Millburn Police located CDS, in plain view, in the vehicle.
Both the driver and passenger were placed under arrest. The driver of the vehicle had an active warrant
out of Millburn for Fraud. The passenger provided a false name. Christian Gonzalez-Sanchez, age 30, of
Jersey City was charged with possession of CDS, and transported to Essex County correctional facility.
The passenger Jhon Toro-Taborda, age 25, of Brooklyn was charged with Hindering, and possession of
CDS.
On August 25, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Crescent Pl on a report of an attempted burglary to a
motor vehicle. The witness reported that a male suspect attempted to enter an Acura MDX, but was
unsuccessful because it was locked. Millburn Police Sgt Royce located the suspect walking on Chatham
Rd. The investigation led to the arrest of George Brown, age 44, of Orange. He was charged with
burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia.
These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or
are found guilty in a court of law.
