On September 1, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Nordstrom’s in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just occurred. Nordstrom’s associate reported that Karla Pigford, age 60, of Newark concealed a total of $696.19 of merchandise and left the store without paying. She was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On September 2, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Nordstrom’s on a report of theft that just occurred. Nordstrom’s associate reported that Eddie Santiago, age 37, from Elizabeth concealed a total of $395 of merchandise and left the store without paying. He was placed under arrest and charged with conspiracy and shoplifting.

On September 2, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Shoprite on a report of theft that just occurred. Shoprite associate reported that David Morrow, age 66, of Millburn was having issues with self-checkout and then carried away $81.47 of merchandise and left the store without paying. He was later placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On September 4, 2024, Millburn Police responded to Alo in the Short Hills on a report of theft that just occurred. Alo associate reported that Kashima Mcintosh, age 35, of Newark concealed a total of $788.55 of merchandise and left the store without paying. Investigation also revealed that she stole $1,161 worth of merchandise from Victoria Secret. She was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On September 7, 2024 Millburn police responded to a burglary of a residence on Parsonage Hill Rd. The investigation revealed that within the past day an unknown actor entered the unoccupied residence, which was unlocked. The actor stole a few items from the garage. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

On September 9, 2024, Millburn Police Detective Mendelsohn observed a male actively stealing mail from the outgoing mailbox at the Short Hills Post Office. Multiple Millburn Police units responded to the area. The suspect fled on foot from our Officers. Millburn Officers were able to capture the suspect shortly after. Further investigation located two other suspects hiding a vehicle in the area. They were in possession of credit cards from six different people. All three suspects were arrested. The first suspect Yacken Carenard, age 25, of Newark was charged with theft, conspiracy, possession of burglary tools, resisting arrest, and obstruction. The second suspect Amid Odonoghue, age 23, of Newark was charged with conspiracy and identity theft. The third suspect Morven Verelus was charged with conspiracy, identity theft and credit card fraud.

On September 11, 2024 Millburn police responded to a burglary of a residence on White Oak Ridge Road. The investigation revealed that someone had forced entry into the residence. The actors stole items from the residence and fled the scene. This incident remains under investigation by the Millburn Police Detective Bureau.

These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty in a court of law.
