Westwood, NJ (September 16, 2024) – Looking for a fun way for your 3-year-old to make new friends while learning Kindergarten readiness skills? Are you seeking a few hours of activity outside the home for your growing preschooler? Westwood Recreation Preschool might be the right solution for you.
Typically, preschool programs begin in September, however, Westwood Recreation Preschool accepts 3-year-olds as they reach readiness such as expressing social behavior, overcoming separation issues or mastering potty-training. This rolling admission policy allows 3-year-olds who may not have been ready for school in September to start in January or earlier if appropriate. Because the 2-hours for 3-days a week program is designed to be a first introduction to school, developmentally appropriate learning opportunities are easily blended into group play in a fun and nurturing setting.
Led by Teacher/Director Natalie Boes, the Westwood Recreation Preschool is a State of New Jersey licensed Day Care Center. Classroom activities prepare students for academic and social success by assisting in the development of self-help skills, gross and fine motor skills, listening skills as well as providing a strong foundation in literacy, math, social studies and science. Art, music, seasonal activities and free-play round out the program offerings.
To apply to the Westwood Recreation Preschool “Threes Program” children must be age three by October 1, 2024. A copy of a birth certificate is required for registration as well as a parent registration packet. All children are required to be potty-trained before entering the program. Annual tuition is $1900 for 3-year-olds who attend Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:30pm-2:30pm – however those starting later would pay prorated fees adjusted to start date. Tuition installments can be arranged with first payment due at time of registration.
