Pumpkin Patch Benefitting Secaucus School Returns to Carnegie Diner

Posted Fri, Sep 27, 2024, By Jahleah Santiago

Carnegie Diner & Cafe is bringing the spirit of autumn back to Secaucus with the return of its beloved Fall Pumpkin Patch. Starting September 27th and running through October 31st, the cafe’s outdoor space at 700 Plaza Drive will be transformed into a cozy, autumnal wonderland filled with pumpkins and seasonal décor, just in time for Halloween.

In addition to celebrating the season, the Pumpkin Patch has a meaningful cause behind it. Carnegie Diner & Cafe has partnered with Secaucus High School to support their Class of 2025 Project Graduation. All proceeds from pumpkin sales will go toward funding the program, which serves to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking, drugging, and driving. Project Graduation, benefiting 150 high school seniors, aims to reduce the number of alcohol and drug-related crashes among youth, providing education and promoting safe choices.

Visitors can expect to browse a picturesque display of pumpkins in various sizes, nestled among hay bales and charming fall decor. Whether you’re looking to pick up the perfect pumpkin or capture the season’s beauty, Carnegie Diner’s Pumpkin Patch is the perfect destination for families and friends to enjoy autumn, all while supporting a vital cause in the community.

Make sure to stop by the festival from September 27th through October 31st, and be part of the effort to help Secaucus High School's seniors have a safe and memorable graduation.

About Project Graduation: A Safe Celebration for High School Seniors
Project Graduation is a national initiative designed to offer high school seniors a safe, drug- and alcohol-free celebration on graduation night. The program provides a fun alternative to traditional parties, reducing the risk of drinking and driving. Across New Jersey, various schools participate in Project Graduation, tailoring the event to their communities. For example, Eastern High School holds its celebration at the Funplex in Mount Laurel, funded by parent volunteers and donations. Tenafly High School and Hackettstown High School rely on community support and fundraising to host their events, while Hillsborough High School’s program is managed by a dedicated committee of parents. Lawrence High School also offers a free, all-night, supervised event for its graduating class. These programs ensure a memorable and safe experience for graduates, helping to protect them during this important milestone.
