Secaucus Police Blotter 10/14/2024 to 10/20/2024

On 10/14/2024 at 7:12 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 30-year-old female, Valerie Demoleas of Tenafly, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A]. Mr. Demoleas was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Teaneck, NJ with no bail and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Piscataway, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Ms. Demoleas was additionally charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Ms. Demoleas was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/15/2024 at 10:14 AM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a Theft by Deception incident that was reported to the police on 09/13/2024 which occurred at the Haven Savings Bank located at 1234 Paterson Plank Road, the police arrested a 44-year-old female, Maritza Velez of Secaucus, NJ for Theft by Deception [2C:20-4] and Forgery [2C:21-1A(3)]. Ms. Velez was taken into custody at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Ms. Velez was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 10/15/2024 at 6:58 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 51-year-old female, Rima Chernov of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2A(3)(B)]. Ms. Chernov was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 10/16/2024 at 9:21 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Hudson Regional Hospital located at 55 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of threats made. During the investigation, the police arrested a 47-year-old male, John Garner of Brooklyn, NY for Terroristic Threats [2C:12-3B] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Mr. Garner was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 10/16/2024 at 11:38 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 29-year-old male, Ahmad Broadway of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $5,000.00 with a 10% option. Newark did release Mr. Broadway on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Broadway was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

10/17/2024 at 2:47 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in relation to a theft that occurred at Best Buy located at 3 Mill Creek Drive on 08/05/2024, the police arrested a 35-year-old male, Claudius Narron of Newark, NJ for Theft [2C:20-3A]. Mr. Narron was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Narron was issued his complaint summons and was released from Police custody.
