Palisades Park Man Charged With Sexual Offenses

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 46-year-old PEDRO A. OSORIO-ESTRADA of Palisades Park, NJ on charges of sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal sexual contact. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck, and the Palisades Park Police Department under the direction of Officer-in-Charge James Rotundo.

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was contacted regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile that had occurred in the past. An investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Palisades Park Police Department revealed that PEDRO A. OSORIO-ESTRADA sexually assaulted the juvenile victim on multiple occasions, when the child was between the ages of five and fifteen, in Palisades Park, NJ.

As a result of the investigation, on Monday, October 21, 2024, PEDRO A. OSORIO- ESTRADA was arrested in Paramus, New Jersey and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1); first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(2)(a); three counts of second-degree sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2b; second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1); and three counts of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-3(a). OSORIO-ESTRADA was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Palisades Park Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
