1. On October 31, 2024, at approximately 1:55 a.m., Police Officers Zackary Guido and
Alexander Miller observed a vehicle on 11th Street near Washington Street with extensive
damage including the front driver-side door being held together by cords. They pulled the car
over for unsafe conditions. The driver, later identified as 42-year-old Eric Cave of Jersey City,
was unable to produce proof of insurance. Sgt. Michael Straten and Police Officers Ronald
Kibitlewski, Aaron Font, Mark Mooreman, and Daniela Simone arrived on the scene to assist. It
was discovered Cave had multiple warrants for his arrest out of Jersey City, Irvington, and
Mansfield. Cave was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where
he was processed and released with summonses for driving an unregistered vehicle, driving
without a license, failure to provide proof of insurance, and driving a vehicle in an unsafe
condition. The owner of the car was also issued summonses for allowing an unlicensed driver to
operate a motor vehicle and for having an uninsured motor vehicle.
2. On October 31, 2024, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Sgt. Tyler Soto and Police Officers Frank
Lombardo, Enrico Gnassi, Dylan Archilla, Alexander Miller, Marco Grossman, and Shelby
Sieckendick responded to Church Square Park on reports that a man was yelling and cursing at
children and elderly people, and then began hitting people. Upon arrival, witnesses pointed to the
actor, later identified as 31-year-old Troy Timberlake, and he was detained. An on-scene
investigation determined Timberlake was yelling and cursing at people as they walked by the
gazebo, including one woman who he also spit on. When she turned to address Timberlake, he
punched her and then followed her out of the park and punched her multiple times, knocking her
unconscious. He then approached another victim, hitting him on the back of his head, near a
playground in the park. Witnesses and officers believed by doing this, Timberlake put multiple
children in danger. Hoboken EMS/Volunteer Ambulance Corps arrived to treat victims, one of
whom was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Timberlake was transported to
Hoboken Police Headquarters where he continued to yell, scream, and act aggressively. He
refused to allow officers to fingerprint and photograph him. He was charged with aggravated
assault, endangering an injured victim, child cruelty, and refusal to submit fingerprinting. He was
ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
3. On October 31, 2024, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Police Officer Alexander Miller
responded to the area of Second and River Streets to meet with the victim of an assault who
reported he was on the 200 block of Washington Street, when another man began to yell at him,
followed him, and hit him in the back of the head and neck for no apparent reason. Detective
Jesse Castellano and Police Officers Chelsea Tamborra and Jessica Arebalo were walking in the
area where it happened and observed the suspect, whom they identified as 41-year-old Lamar
Woodward of Hoboken. A short time later Police Officers Andrias Bonilla and Kyle Seper
observed Woodward near the intersection of Third and Madison Streets where he was placed
under arrest for simple assault and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. It was
discovered he had two warrants out of Hoboken. He was processed and ultimately transported to
the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
4. On October 31, 2024, at approximately 11:25 p.m. Police Officers Daniela Simone and Jairo
De La Cruz responded to the 600 block of Jefferson Street on reports of a trespasser in an
apartment. When they arrived, they found a man on a third-floor landing, facing an apartment
door. The caller identified the man, later identified as 74-year-old Ishola Akinbowale of
Hoboken, as the person who entered her apartment earlier and stood there until she yelled at him
to leave. Akinbowale was arrested for criminal trespassing. He was transported to Hoboken
Police Headquarters, processed, and released with a summons and court date.
5. On November 1, 2024, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Police Officers Aaron Font and Ronald
Kibitlewski were on routine patrol in the area of Second and Jackson Streets, when they noticed
a black moped fail to stop at a stop sign. The moped rode up onto the sidewalk and then stopped
on the 300 block of Jackson Street. The driver, later identified as 28-year-old Marquis Praylow
of Hoboken, was unable to provide identification. Officers observed a knife in his pocket and
took it from Praylow. The moped had no license plate, and the VIN number came back as stolen.
It was discovered Praylow had a warrant for his arrest. Sgt. Harold Milne arrived to assist and
noticed the vehicle had the ignition removed. Praylow was placed under arrest and transported to
Hoboken Police Headquarters where it was discovered he was a certain person not to possess
weapons due to a prior conviction for unlawful possession of a handgun. He was charged with
possession of a stolen vehicle, unlawful possession of a weapon, and certain persons not to
possess a weapon. He was also processed on warrants for criminal mischief in Hoboken, driving
while suspended in Washington Township, and failure to produce insurance in Union City. He
was also issued summonses for failure to stop or yield, failure to exhibit a driver's license, failure
to exhibit registration, failure to exhibit insurance, unclear plates, and driving on the sidewalk.
6. On November 1, 2024, at approximately 4:50 a.m., Police Officers Aaron Font and Ronald
Kibitlewski responded to Hoboken Police Headquarters to take custody of 27-year-old Andrew
Kinney of Union City, who had been transported to HPD by Weehawken Police. He was arrested
there for failure to appear in Hoboken. Kinney was processed on a warrant for theft by unlawful
taking, and two for failing or refusing to pay a transit fare. He was transported to the Hudson
County Correctional Facility.
7. On November 1, 2024, at approximately 4:25 p.m., Police Officers John Rodriguez and
Shawn Sodora were conducting a building sweep of a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA)
building on Sixth Street when they observed and approached a man, later identified as 24-yearold Ramiro Quirola-Vergara of Hackensack. It was learned that the man did not live on HHA
property. Officers told him he was under arrest, but he refused to turn around. While handcuffing
Quirola-Vegara, he resisted by stiffening and extending his arms and while doing so, he dropped
a cylindrical glass pipe with burnt residue onto the floor. It was discovered he had warrants out
of North Bergen, Hoboken, and Hudson County. He was transported to Hoboken Police
Headquarters and charged with defiant trespassing, possession of drug paraphernalia, and
resisting arrest. He was processed and ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional
Facility.
8. On November 1, 2024, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Police Officers Nicholas Losurdo and
Jairo De La Cruz responded to the 1400 block of Adams Street on reports of an unknown person
inside an empty building. Sgt. Harold Milne and Police Officers Shelby Seickendick, Roberto
Cuevas, Alyssa Rivera, and Shawn Sodora arrived on scene to assist. They located two people on
the second floor, later identified as 38-year-old Francisco Torres of Jersey City and 41-year-old
Lena Preston of Newark. Preston was issued a summons for defiant trespassing and released on
the scene. Torres was found to have warrants out of Jersey City, Hoboken, and Hudson County.
He was also found to be in violation of probation in Connecticut. Torres was charged with
defiant trespassing and being a fugitive from justice. He was transported to the Hudson County
Correctional Facility.
9. On November 2, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Police Officers Alexander Miller and
Anish Bhisey were on patrol on the 50 block of Newark Street, when they heard a disturbance
that escalated into a fight. They attempted to break up the fight. Sgt. Harold Milne, Sgt. William
Collins, and other units responded to assist. Both individuals were placed under arrest and
identified as 24-year-old Damian Rivera of Edison and 23-year-old Malaysia Knowles of
Garfield. They were transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. An on-scene investigation
revealed the two parties, and their groups of friends, began to argue about costumes they were
wearing, and the argument escalated between Rivera and Knowles. Rivera was charged with
simple assault and disorderly conduct and released with a summons. Knowles was charged with
aggravated assault and disorderly conduct. She was also issued a summons and released.
10. On November 3, 2024, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Sgt. Michael Losurdo was flagged down
by employees of Texas Arizona, 76 River St., who told him two people were trying to use false
foreign government identification. Police Officer Nasir Wiley responded to assist. The two men,
later identified as 20-year-old Hirad Sharifian of New Providence and 19-year-old Leonid
Smilevski of Egg Harbor Township were arrested, transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters,
and charged with forgery and knowingly exhibiting a false government issued driver's license or
other ID. They were both processed and released on a summons.
11. On November 3, 2024, at approximately 6 a.m., Police Officers Geovanni Cruzado and
David Chicara responded to the 100 block of Garden Street on reports of an unknown individual
knocking on the caller's door. The caller also believed the man fell asleep directly in front of
their apartment door. When they arrived, the officers were able to tell that someone had recently
forced open a bolted front door. They located a man who fit the description of the actor, sleeping
on the third floor. They woke up the man, later identified as 26-year-old Ciaran O’Connor of
Ireland, and he couldn’t explain why he was there. O’Connor was placed under arrest and
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was charged with criminal mischief and
burglary and released with a summons and a court date.
12. On November 3, 2024, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Sgt. Francis McCourt was on patrol on
the 300 block of Monroe Street when he saw a man sitting on the steps of a closed business.
When he approached the man, later identified as 53-year-old John O’Conner of Jersey City, he
saw him using a lighter and glass cylindrical shaped pipe. Police Officers Roberto Cuevas and
Alyssa Rivera responded to assist and placed O’Conner under arrest for possession of drug
paraphernalia. A search incident to arrest revealed a small pink plastic container that contained a
white rock like substance suspected to be CDS crack cocaine. Two more plastic containers were
also located, both with white residue, along with another glass cylindrical pipe. Police Officers
Christopher Barral and Shawn Sodora arrived to assist. Officers also found copper mesh on the
stairs near where O’Conner was sitting. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters
where he refused to be fingerprinted and photographed. He was charged with possession of CDS,
possession of drug paraphernalia, and refusal to submit fingerprints. He was released with a
summons.
13. On November 4, 2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Police Officers Nasir Wille and Rose
Kanan responded to The Hoboken Shelter, 300 Bloomfield St., on reports of an intoxicated
female refusing to leave. The officers escorted the woman, identified as 20-year-old Shante
Boozer of Hoboken, out of the shelter at the request of management. About 15 minutes later,
officers responded back to the shelter on reports that Boozer had returned. When she was told
she had to leave, Boozer became agitated, began shouting profanities at the officers, and banged
on exterior walls of the shelter. She was told she was being placed under arrest, and she
attempted to resist by flailing her arms and tensing up. Once she was placed under arrest, she
was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where she continued to be uncooperative. She
was found to have a warrant out of Georgia. She was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting
or eluding arrest, criminal trespassing, and refusal to submit fingerprints. She was ultimately
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
14. On November 5, 2024, at approximately 8:40 a.m., Police Officers Daniel Baron and Jaydan
Gonzalez responded to the 500 block of Madison Street, after off duty Police Officer Joseph
Lupo reported seeing 51-year-old Diane Luciano of Hoboken, who officers knew was wanted on
multiple warrants for package thefts in recent weeks. Officers located Luciano on the 700 block
of Monroe Street and placed her under arrest. She was charged with theft and burglary in
connection to reports of a package theft on the 50 block of Jackson Street taken on Nov. 3 by
Police Officers Harry Montalvo and Dylan Archilla and another report of package theft on the
100 block of Paterson Avenue taken on Oct. 30 by Officers John Lawton and Shyenna Vega.
During a search incident to arrest, officers found a glass cylindrical pipe with burnt ends and a
metal push rod on Luciano. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Multiple
warrants for burglary and theft were confirmed. Luciano was ultimately processed on all charges
at Hoboken Police Headquarters and taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
15. On November 5, 2024, at approximately 12:25 p.m., Police Officers Arturo Gonzalez and
Jennifer Lee responded to the 300 block of Harrison Street on reports of a nonresident in the
stairwell of a residential building on Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) property. Police
Officers Joseph DiMartino, Ramon Estrella, and Tyrone Huggins also responded. Officers
located a woman, later identified as 30-year-old Shakeema Barnes of Union City, sitting on the
steps, with a glass cylindrical tube with steel wool and burn marks in one hand, and white
powdery rock substance and a lighter in her other hand. Barnes was placed under arrest and a
search incident to arrest located steel wool and a small tree twig, which is often used as a push
rod. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with possession of CDS
crack cocaine, defiant trespassing, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was transported to
the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
16. On November 6, 2024, at approximately 2 p.m., Police Officers Jason Montalvo, Carmen
Benitez, and Tyrone Huggins responded to Lululemon, 313 Washington St., on reports of a
shoplifting with two actors. Both were still in the store when police arrived, and they were later
identified as 27-year-old Jaquan Miles of Newark and 38-year-old Rahquan Smalls of
Pleasantville. An on-scene investigation determined Miles and Smalls conspired together to
shoplift at the store. Both were arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where
they were charged with shoplifting and conspiracy to commit shoplifting. Miles was also found
to have one outstanding warrant out of Newark. Small was found to have four warrants out of
Newark, Stafford Township, Pleasantville, and Irvington. After being processed, both men were
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
17. On November 6, 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Corine Stamour of Brooklyn, NY,
arrived at Hoboken Police Headquarters to be processed on charges of harassment and making
terroristic threats. Stamour was wanted in connection with a report filed on Oct. 4, by a Hoboken
resident who reported to Police Officer Harry Montalvo that he had been receiving threatening
text messages from an unknown person who demanded money. A follow-up investigation by
Police Officer Chelsea Tambora identified Stamour as the actor in the case. After being
processed, Stamour was released with a summons.
