Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 12:15 a.m. on November 25, 2024, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey on a report of a shooting. Police were able to locate a 27-year-old male victim from Elmwood Park, N.J. suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim arrived at the hospital via private vehicle. Police were able to determine a shooting took place in the area of McLean Boulevard and 18th Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey. A potential crime scene was located in the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
