1. On November 7, 2024, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Police Officers Matthew Bonanno and
Carmen Benitez were on patrol near the intersection of Fourth and Jefferson Streets when they
saw a man sleeping in the driver’s seat of a car stopped in the middle of the street. They
approached the vehicle, and saw the driver slumped over the steering wheel, with his foot on the
brake and the car still in drive. When officers reached into the car to turn off the ignition, they
smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. The driver, later identified
as 46-year-old Kevin Ogilvie of Jersey City, woke himself up after hitting his head on the horn
causing it to beep. Sgt. Dennis Figueroa, Sgt. Michael Losurdo, and Police Officer Ricky
Truppner arrived on the scene to assist. A field sobriety test was conducted, after which Ogilve
was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he refused to provide a
breath sample. Ogilve was charged with driving while intoxicated, obstructing passage of other
vehicles, reckless driving, refusing to submit breath samples, and failure to consent to taking
samples of breath. As per John’s law, he was released into the custody of a responsible party.
2. On November 7, 2024, at approximately 4:45 a.m., Police Officers Alexander Miller and
Valentino Salgado responded to TD Bank, 47 Newark St., on reports of a man lying in the
vestibule. Officers recognized the individual as 64-year-old Antonio Figueroa of Hoboken, who
had been issued a summons for defiant trespassing in the past. It was found he had a warrant out
of Hoboken. He was issued a summons for defiant trespassing and told if he was found in the
vestibule again, for anything other than using the ATM, he would be arrested. Figueroa was
released with the summons.
3. On November 7, 2024, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Police Officers Alexander Miller and
Valentino Salgado responded to the 700 block of Washington Street, where Sgt. Michael
Losurdo had been waved down by Stevens Institute of Technology Police Officers who reported
a dispute in which one man was swinging a wooden stick at another. The victim had already left
the scene when the officers arrived. They recognized the actor as 55-year-old Robbie Moore of
Hoboken from a previous interaction. Moore began yelling and started to walk away from the
officers during the on-scene investigation, even after being ordered to stop. Moore was placed
under arrest. A search incident to arrest located a fishing/hunting-type knife. Moore was
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, and it was discovered he had prior convictions in
another state, making him a person not permitted to be in possession of a weapon. He was
charged with unlawful possession of weapons, certain persons not to have weapons, disorderly
conduct, and obstructing the administration of the law. After being processed, Moore was
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
4. On November 7, 2024, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Police Officers Nathaniel Arocho and
Jason Montalvo responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting. An onscene investigation revealed that the actor, later identified as 62-year-old Eugenio Pulido of
Hoboken, was seen concealing several items in a backpack, and then walking toward the exit
without paying. He was stopped by store security who said Pulido, who originally gave a fake
name, tried to steal approximately $134 worth of merchandise. During a search incident to arrest,
officers located a cylindrical glass tube with burnt tips. He was charged with shoplifting,
possession of drug paraphernalia, and hindering apprehension. He was transported to Hoboken
Police Headquarters where it was revealed he had two outstanding warrants out of Florida, one
for attempted murder. He was further processed on charges of being a fugitive from justice and
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, to await extradition.
5. On November 7, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Police Officers Aidan Gonzalez and
Remy Garcia-Marte responded to the 500 block of Jackson Street on reports of someone refusing
to leave an apartment. Sgt. Michael Losurdo and Sgt. Daniel Grossi arrived on the scene to
assist. During an on-scene investigation, a woman, later identified as 36-year-old Dabra Goad of
Hoboken, arrived and began to argue with the original callers. At one point, Goad attempted to
hit one of the other people. She was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and simple assault
and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. It was discovered she had a warrant out of
Hoboken for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. She was released with a summons after
being processed.
6. On November 7, 2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Police Officers Anthony Rutkowski and
John Lawton responded to Louise & Jerry's, 329 Washington St., on reports of a man refusing to
leave. When officers arrived, they found the individual outside the establishment, with a manager
blocking him from entering the front door. An on-scene investigation found that the man, later
identified as 33-year-old Mathew Zimmer of Hoboken, was visibly intoxicated and began to
harass other patrons. When he was refused alcoholic beverages, he began to harass bartenders.
Security asked him to leave, but he refused until they escorted him outside. He continued to sit
on the stairs right outside the door, making it difficult for anyone else to exit or enter. When
officers asked him to get off the steps, he refused. He was told he would be arrested if he
continued to refuse to leave. He refused and was placed under arrest. He attempted to resist being
placed in handcuffs. He was handcuffed and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where
he was charged with defiant trespassing and resisting arrest. After being processed, Zimmer was
released with a summons.
7. On November 8, 2024, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Police Officers Valentino Salgado and
Alexander Miller conducted a well-being check on a man they observed lingering in the area of
Washington and First Streets. The man gave a false name to officers. Sgt. Tyler Soto and Police
Officers Ricky Truppner and Mark Mooreman arrived on the scene. An investigation revealed
his name to be 28-year-old Craig Jefferson of Jersey City and officers confirmed he had a
warrant for his arrest for burglary, out of Hudson County. Officers later located Jefferson at the
intersection of Hudson Street and Hudson Place. He was placed under arrest and charged with
bail jumping. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
8. On November 8, 2024, at approximately 10:35 a.m., Police Officers Nathaniel Arocho and
Teddy Santiago responded to the Mercer County Correctional Facility to pick up 35-year-old
Edwin Vega-Rivera of Hoboken, who had an outstanding warrant in Hoboken for possession of
CDS. Officers transported Vega-Rivera to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing. He was
then taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
9. On November 8, 2024, at approximately 9:45 p.m., Police Officers Matthew Bonanno and
John Lawton responded to Riyan Smoke Shop, 301 First St., on reports of an employee being
punched. When they arrived, employees told officers a woman was attempting to steal vape pens
and other products from the counter. When a worker tried to grab the items back, a scuffle began.
The actor threw her arms around, striking the employee in the arms and head. At that point, an
unknown man came in and punched the employee in the face, causing injuries. Police Officer
Roberto Cuevas arrived to assist. Officers were able to identify the woman as 37-year-old
Crystal Rodriquez of Hoboken after viewing security footage. About an hour later, she was
spotted on the 300 block of Jackson Street by Police Officers Anthony Rutkowski and Marvin
DeJesus. She was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. She was
charged with robbery and ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
10. On November 9, 2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Police Officers Aaron Font and
Valentino Salgado were near the intersection of Newark and Bloomfield Streets when they heard
a vehicle revving its engine. They located the vehicle and observed it come to an abrupt stop
when the driver saw the patrol car. They pulled the car over near the intersection of First and
Bloomfield Streets. The driver, later identified as 24-year-old David Pinedo of West New York,
had trouble finding and turning over his identification and documentation, and officers smelled a
strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from this breath. Officers conducted a field sobriety
test, after which Pinedo was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, where he refused to submit breath samples. He was
issued a summons for driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath testing, reckless
driving, and loud exhaust.
11. On November 9, 2024, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Police Officers Frank Losurdo and
Ronald Kibitlewski responded to the intersection of Washington and Newark Streets on reports
that 55-year-old Edwin Sierra of Hoboken, who was wanted on several warrants, was walking in
the area. Sierra was stopped on the 50 block of Washington Street and was placed under arrest
for warrants for assault and harassment on Oct. 17 and for a theft on Nov. 1, 2024. He was
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
12. On November 9, 2024, at approximately 5:50 p.m., Sgt. Elias Colon and Police Officers
Trevor Thomas, Brandon Cappelluti, and Brian Kim were near the intersection of Sixth and
Jefferson Streets when they saw a man they recognized as 44-year-old Alexis Rivera of Trenton,
who they knew was wanted in Hoboken for a recent burglary and theft on the 50 block of
Jefferson Street. Officers stopped Rivera and placed him under arrest for burglary and theft. A
search incident to arrest discovered a small white cylindrical tube with burnt ends, a glass
cylindrical tube with burnt ends that appeared to contain a crystalized rock substance suspected
to be CDS crack cocaine, and one thin metal push rod. He was transported to Hoboken Police
Headquarters where he was further charged with possession of CDS crack cocaine and
possession of drug paraphernalia. Rivera also had a warrant out of Hudson County for burglary.
He was processed on all of the charges and transported to the Hudson County Correctional
Facility.
13. On November 10, 2024, at approximately 2:25 a.m., Police Officers Zackary Guido and
Alexander Miller were flagged down outside of the Hoboken Path Terminal by two people who
wanted to report a car crash that happened at a traffic light on the 50 block of Hudson Place. As
they spoke with one of the drivers, later identified as 22-year-old Davontae Larrieux of Cedar
Knolls, officers noticed he couldn’t keep his balance without stumbling and he also had trouble
producing his driver's license and other documents. Police Officer Aaron Font arrived to conduct
a standard field sobriety test, after which he was placed under arrest for driving while
intoxicated. He was also issued a summons for reckless driving. Larrieux was transported to
Hoboken Police Headquarters. As per John’s Law he was later released into the custody of a
responsible party.
14. On November 10, 2024, at approximately 3:35 a.m., Police Officers Alexander Miller and
Zackary Guido were on patrol when they observed a car facing the wrong direction on First
Street at Garden Street. When they approached the vehicle, officers saw a man lying in the
driver’s seat, which was reclined. They woke up the driver, later identified as 24-year-old
Brandon Salazar of West Orange, and smelled the odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath. He
was asked to turn off the car. Police Officers Nicholas Protopapadakis and Anish Bhisey arrived
on the scene. Salazer had trouble producing his license, registration, and insurance information.
Police Officer Aaron Font arrived to conduct a field sobriety test, after which Salazar was
arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was charged with driving while
intoxicated, reckless driving, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street. As per John’s Law,
he was released into the custody of a responsible party.
15. On November 10, 2024, at approximately 9 a.m., Police Officers Enrico Gnassi and Teddy
Santiago responded to Elysian Cafe, 1001 Washington St., after an employee found an unloaded
gun and ammunition in a computer bag which was left behind by a customer the night before. Lt.
Christopher LaBruno and Sgt. James Barbro responded to the scene. The gun was traced to 45-
year-old Lawrence Friscia of Hoboken. Sgt. Barbro and Police Officers Arturo Gonzalez and
Jonathan Figueroa located Friscia, who did not have proper paperwork for the Glock 19 that had
been left behind. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. New Jersey State Police
confirmed the firearm was not registered to Friscia. He was charged with unlawful possession of
a weapon and released on a summons.
16. On November 10, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Police Officer Dylan Archilla was on
patrol when he observed a vehicle tailgating another near the intersection of Second and Madison
Streets. The driver blew his horn at the other car, and then disregarded a stop sign, before turning
the wrong way onto Monroe Street, which is a one-way street. The officer pulled over the driver,
later identified as 23-year-old Thomas Sharkey of Wayne, and when he approached, he could
smell the odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath. A field sobriety test was
conducted, after which Sharkey was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he refused to give breath samples. He was
issued a summons for driving while intoxicated, failure to stop or yield, and for refusing a breath
test. As per John’s Law, he was released into the custody of a responsible party.
17. On November 11, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Police Officers Anthony Rutkowski
and Zachary Guido, responded to the Judy Blume Service Area, in Wall Township, to take
custody of 32-year-old James Hodgens of Surf City from Ship Bottom Police. Hodgens was
wanted out of Hoboken for an incident on June 21, 2024, during which he threw an object out of
his window on the 50 block of Park Avenue, causing a dangerous condition for pedestrians
below. During the June 21, 2024 incident, responding officers included Lt. David Olivera, Sgt.
Saverio Binetti, Sgt. William Collins, Sgt. Adam Colon, Sgt. Anthony Russo, Detectives
Michael Losurdo, Bret Globke, Connor Milne, Samuel Flores, and Police Officers Ramon
Calderon, Ramon Estrella, Jonathan Figueroa, Michael Aviles, Enrico Gnassi, Arturo Gonzalez,
Jessica Arebalo, William Oquendo, Jason Montalvo, Rose Kanan, Jaydan Gonzalez, and Frank
Losurdo. Following that incident, Hodgens, who lived in Hoboken at the time, was charged with
making terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a
weapon, aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer, and criminal mischief. On Nov.
11, Hodgens was transported from Wall to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he was
processed and then taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
18. On November 11, 2024, at approximately 10:45 p.m., Police Officers Marvin DeJesus and
Keven De La Cruz responded to the 600 block of Sixth Street on reports of a fight. When they
arrived, officers saw a man, later identified as 29-year-old Jermaine Womack of Jersey City,
trying to kick in the door of an apartment on the sixth floor. Sgt. John Quinones arrived on the
scene to assist. Womack began pacing the hallway, yelling that he needed his things from inside
the apartment. A woman, later identified as 34-year-old Vanessa Kelly of Hoboken, was also in
the hallway and ignored officers request for information and began to interfere with the
investigation. Womack ignored commands to stop moving and he tried to get inside the unit. At
one point he attempted to move officers out of his way, which is when he was advised he was
going to be placed under arrest. He resisted by tensing up his arms to keep from being
handcuffed. During Womack’s arrest, Kelly yelled profanities at officers who told her multiple
times to move back and stop interfering. She was placed under arrest and attempted to resist. An
on-scene investigation revealed Womack and Kelly argued with and got aggressive with other
people on the scene. A harassment complaint was filed against them. The two were transported
to Hoboken Police Headquarters, where it was discovered they each had outstanding warrants
from Hoboken and Jersey City. They were charged with obstructing the administration of the law
and resisting arrest. Kelly and Womack were transported to the Hudson County Correctional
Facility.
19. On November 12, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Police Officer Joshua Campoverde
processed the arrest of 45-year-old Larone Ferguson of Hoboken, who arrived at police
headquarters. Ferguson was wanted for an Oct. 15 shoplifting at CVS, 811 Clinton St. During a
follow up investigation, by Police Officer Anthony Ingraffia, Sgt. Christine Collins identified
Ferguson as the actor. After processing, he was released on a summons.
20. On November 13, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Sgt. Colon Elias and Police Officer
Leroy Sherrill responded to the 300 block of Marshall Drive on reports of a possible dispute.
Upon arrival, officers discovered there was no altercation, but while on the scene, they
recognized 48-year-old Markeey Boyd of Hoboken, and new he had a warrant for hindering,
related to an arrest in June. The warrant was confirmed, and Boyd was transported to Hoboken
Police Headquarters, where it was discovered, he also had an open warrant out of Hamilton
Township for resisting arrest. He was processed and transported to the Hudson County
Correctional Facility.
21. On November 13, 2024, at approximately 7:25 p.m., Police Officers Rose Kanan and Harry
Montalvo observed three people standing under scaffolding near the corner of Monroe and
Eighth Streets, one of them searching the pockets of the other two. One of the men, later
identified as 46-year-old David Cummings of Hoboken, appeared to be nervous, avoided eye
contact, and turned his back to police. A check revealed active warrants against Cummings out
of Hoboken for failure to appear in connection to a shoplifting arrest in April. He was arrested
and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed, and later taken to the Hudson
County Correctional Facility.
22. On November 13, 2024, at approximately 8:25 p.m., Police Officers Cynthia Rivera and
Jairo De La Cruz, responded to Delite Wine & Spirits, 420 Washington St., on reports of a
customer using fake currency. When they arrived, employees told them the actor was still inside
the store. The man, later identified as 37-year-old Ioannis Batis of Greece, was found to be in
possession of multiple fake $100 bills. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters,
where he was charged with forgery and released on a summons.
