Secaucus Police Blotter 11/25/2024 to 12/01/2024

On 11/25/2024 at 2:14 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 26-year-old male, Dayan Lopez-Orta of Union City, NJ for Tampering with Public Records [2C:28-7A(3)] due to the vehicle containing a license plate concealment device. Lopez-Orta was issued his complaint summons along with 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On 11/25/2024 at 3:12 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36-year-old male, Luis Berroa-Martinez of Secaucus, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Berroa-Martinez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 11/25/2024 at 4:49 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot of Krauszer’s located at 40 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a stolen motor vehicle located in the parking lot. During the investigation, the police arrested a 21-year-old male, Christian Carrero of Sovington, CT for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.2]. Carrero was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 11/25/2024 at 7:09 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25-year-old male, Abimael Luna Sabas of Elizabeth, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Elizabeth, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 with a 10% option. Luna Sabas was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently released from police custody.

On 11/26/2024 at 9:14 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 39-year-old male, William Bonilla of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Hudson County Sherriff’s Office with no bail along with 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Livingston, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00. Bonilla was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Adderall [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Mr. Bonilla was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 11/27/2024 at 4:10 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 51-year-old male, Juan Reyes of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $2,000.00 with a 10% option. Reyes was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On 11/30/2024 at 8:52 AM, Secaucus Police responded to Route 3 East in the area of the NJ Turnpike ramp on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 33-year-old male, Hector Martinez of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Martinez was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession with intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-5B(3)] and Possession with intent to Distribute a Prescription Legend Drug believed to be Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride [2C:35-10.5A(4)]. Mr. Martinez was issued his complaint warrant along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
