On 11/22/24 a 35-year-old male, Barakaa Welton of Newark, was processed at the Essex County Jail on six counts of Burglary [2C:18-2a(1)], four counts of Theft [2C:20-3a] and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary [2C:5-2a(1)]. The charges stem from the burglary into and theft from numerous vehicles parked at the Extended Stay, 1 Meadowlands Parkway on 11/28/23.
On 12/02/2024 at 1:07 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 27-year-old male, Yoni Delgado-Belen of New York, NY along with a 29-year-old male, Luis Hernandez-Bermudez of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(2)]. Both Mr. Delgado-Belen and Mr. Hernandez-Bermudez were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
On 12/03/2024 at 6:50 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County Jail to take into custody a 52-year-old male, Eddie Price of East Orange, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant that was issued out of Secaucus, NJ with no bail. The warrant was issued for the charges of Theft of a Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.1A], Burglary [2C:18-2A(1)] and Theft [2C:20-3A] in relation to an incident of motor vehicle theft that occurred in Secaucus, NJ on 12/07/2023. The outstanding warrant was recalled and Mr. Price was subsequently released from police custody.
On 12/05/2024 at 11:55 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the Hudson County Superior Court to take into custody a 35-year-old female, Amber Wilson of Bayonne, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Ms. Wilson was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 12/07/2024 at 1:55 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Mill Creek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 49-year-old male, Dwayne Whaley of Kearny, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Broward County, Florida with no bail. Mr. Whaley was subsequently charged with being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Whaley was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Whaley was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 12/08/2024 at 12:03 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old male, Gerard Harell of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $3,500.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Harell was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
