1. On November 21, 2024, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Sgt. Adam Colon and Police Officers Brian Kim, Trevor Thomas, and Brandon Cappelluti were conducting a sweep of a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building on Sixth Street, when they found a man lying in a stairwell. The individual was identified as 22-year-old Damien Mejia, of Union City, and it was learned he did not live in the HHA building. He was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he was processed on a defiant trespassing charge. He was released with a summons and a court date.

2. On November 22, 2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Police Officers Ricky Truppner and Jaydan Gonzalez responded to the intersection of Seventh and Clinton Streets on reports of a possible drunk driving related crash, where the driver had hit another car, left the scene, and was last seen traveling the wrong way on Seventh Street. Sgt. Francis McCourt and Sgt. Tyler Soto responded to the area and observed the vehicle in question stopped on the 400 block of Seventh Street, facing the wrong way. The driver, later identified as 30-year-old Olivia Regina of Englewood Cliffs, was asked to get out of the car, and stumbled as she did so. A standard field sobriety test was performed, after which Regina was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, wrong way on a one-way street, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to produce insurance card. As per John’s Law she was released into the custody of a responsible party.

3. On November 22, 2024, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Police Officers Alexander Miller and Valentino Salgado were on patrol of the Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA), when they observed an individual walk out of a building on Sixth Street and walk through HHA property. Officers approached the woman, later identified as 40-year-old Valerie Tomassini of Newark, who was not an HHA resident. Sgt. Nicholas Losurdo and Police Officers Nassir Willey and Anish Bhisey arrived on the scene. Tomassini was arrested for defiant trespassing and a search incident to arrest revealed a glass cylindrical tube commonly used to ingest CDS crack cocaine, a white wax fold containing a brown powdery substance containing suspected CDS heroin, an empty white wax fold, and loose marijuana. Officers also located a metal push rod and 19 hypodermic needles in her backpack. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and processed on charges of possession of CDS heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and defiant trespassing. She was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

4. On November 23, 2024, at approximately 1:15 a.m., Police Officers Valentino Salgado and Alexander Miller were on patrol when they observed a car with heavily tinted windows driving on Washington Street by Eleventh Street. They observed the driver notice the patrol car and quickly look away, indicating he was startled by the police presence. The vehicle made a few turns, which indicated to officers the driver was attempting to avoid them. The officers followed the car, which at one point made a turn without applying a signal. Officers pulled the car over on the 1100 block of Washington Street. They approached the car and asked the driver, later identified as 30-year-old Ramy Sedki of Bayonne, to lower the window. As he did so, officers observed his actions to be slow and they could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emanating from his breath. His eyes were bloodshot and watery, and his speech was slurred. Officer Daniela Simone arrived on the scene to conduct a field sobriety test after which Sedki was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Hoboken Police Department and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failure to signal. He was given summonses and as per John’s Law, released into the custody of a responsible party.

5. On November 23, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Police Officers Matthew Bonanno and Mark Moorman were on patrol on the 600 block of Sixth Street, when they observed a man leaving a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building. Officers recognized the individual as 44- year-old Alexis Rivera of Trenton and knew he was not a resident of HHA. He was placed under arrest for defiant trespassing. A search incident to arrest located a small glass cylindrical pipe with burnt ends and a metal push rod commonly used to ingest CDS crack cocaine. Rivera was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he refused to be fingerprinted. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, defiant trespassing, and refusal to submit to fingerprinting. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

6. On November 23, 2024, at approximately 3:05 p.m., Police Officers Anthony Olivera and Michael Aviles responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of two individuals being detained by store security for shoplifting. Loss prevention employees told officers the two actors, identified as 53-year-old Jennifer Smith and 29-year-old Jacob Smith, both of Hoboken, were seen placing several items into a book bag and their pockets, and attempting to leave without paying before being stopped by store security. Jennifer Smith became physical, refused to cooperate, and pushed a store manager. Jacob Smith became irate and attempted to pick up a fan as if he was going to assault someone with it. He also used racial slurs toward staff, while threatening them. Police were informed by security that both actors had been told multiple times in the past they were not allowed to enter the store, due to previous shoplifting offenses there. A search incident to arrest revealed them to be in possession of the stolen goods. Jacob Smith was found to be in possession of a black folding knife. Both were transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing. Jacob Smith was charged with robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon. Jennifer Smith was charged with robbery. It was found she had an active warrant from the Hudson County Sheriff's Office and was processed on that as well. Both were ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

7. On November 23, 2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Police Officers John Rodriguez, Aidan Gonzalez, and Jairo De La Cruz, responded to the 1200 block of Willow Avenue on reports of a woman sleeping in the stairwell of a private residential building. Officers found the woman, later identified as 55-year-old Ivecka Leonard of North Arlington, and asked her to gather her belongings and leave. She was issued a summons for defiant trespassing. It was discovered she had warrants out of Hoboken. She was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed on the warrants, and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

8. On November 24, 2024, at approximately 2:50 a.m., Sgt. Harold Milne and Police Officers Daniella Simone and Jairo De La Cruz responded to the 100 block of Sinatra Drive on reports of a man rolling around on the ground. When they arrived, they found the man inside a vehicle that did not belong to him. The man, later identified as 22-year-old Derek Franco of Pompton Lakes, had a cut on his face that was bleeding, and he was transported to a local hospital by the Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps (HVAC). It was discovered he had a warrant out of Pequannock for driving with a suspended license. He was arrested for the outstanding warrant and released from custody.

9. On November 24, 2024, at approximately 5:10 p.m., Police Officers Alyssa Rivera and Roberto Cuevas responded to the 200 block of Willow Avenue, on reports of a shoplifting at a store nearby where the actor had a weapon. When they arrived, they observed a man who fit the description of the suspect described in the initial call. The man, later identified as 23-year-old Avery Stokes of Trenton, told police he threw a weapon down the sewer. Police Officers Nasir Wiley and John Rodriuez arrived on the scene to assist. No weapon was found. Stokes was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with shoplifting. An on-scene investigation revealed Stokes had taken approximately $18.15 worth of items from Prime Time Convenience, 303 Willow Ave. It was also discovered that Stokes was the person who initially called 9-1-1 and falsely reported the weapon. He was further charged with false public alarm and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

10. On November 24, 2024, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Police Officers Nasir Willey and John Rodriguez responded to the area of Third and Bloomfield Streets on reports of an individual getting into the faces of people passing by. Upon arrival they observed a woman they recognized as 35-year-old Allegra Hull of Jersey City, who fit the description given by callers. Officers conducted an on-site investigation and when they were getting back into their patrol car, Hull ran toward them and spit at the officers, hitting one in his forehead with saliva. Hull was told she was going to be placed under arrest, and she resisted by tensing her arms. Officers were able to safely place her under arrest and she was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where she yelled at officers and continued to resist the processing. Hull was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. She was released with a summons.

11. On November 24, 2024, at approximately 6 p.m., Police Officers Matthew Bonanno and Shyenna Vega were arriving at Hoboken Police Headquarters, 106 Hudson St., when they saw a man, later identified as 32-year-old Glendell Murray of Hoboken, climb onto the hood of a patrol car. He stomped on the front windshield causing it to break. Officers got him down and placed him under arrest. Sgt. Roary Miller arrived on the scene to assist. It was discovered the bumper and frame were also damaged. Murray was charged with interference with transportation, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief. He was processed on all charges and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

12. On November 24, 2024, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Police Officer Marvin DeJesus processed the arrest of 28-year-old Derick Figueroa of Jersey City who had been arrested by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office. Figueroa was found to have three warrants, one each out of Hoboken, Jersey City, and Edison. Once the processing was complete, Figueroa was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

13. On November 25, 2024, at approximately 1 a.m., Police Officers Zackary Guido and Ronald Kibitlewski were conducting a building sweep of a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building on the 500 block of Marshall Drive when they saw a man, later identified as 48-year-old Jeffery Wheeler of Hoboken, on the landing of the Seventh-floor staircase. It was discovered Wheeler did not live in the building. Police Officers Aaron Font and Valentino Salgado arrived on the scene to assist. Wheeler was issued a summons for defiant trespassing and asked to leave the building, which he did.

14. On November 25, 2024, at approximately 5:10 a.m., Police Officers Alexander Miller and Nicholas Losurdo were patrolling when they observed a person lying in the vestibule of Blue Foundry Bank, 338 Washington St. They woke the man up and he gave officers a false name. Police Officers Aaron Font and Valentino Salgado arrived on the scene to assist, and Officer Font recognized the man as 31-year-old Alterek Irving of Newark. It was discovered he had an outstanding warrant in Hoboken. He was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was charged with defiant trespassing, hindering apprehension, and bail jumping. He was processed and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

15. On November 25, 2024, at approximately 9:55 a.m., Police Officer Tyrone Huggins observed a motorcycle ride onto the sidewalk of Newark Street at Grand Street and then go the wrong way on Grand Street before entering a parking lot on the 400 block of Newark Street which is where the driver, later identified as 26-year-old Levi Percy of Snohomish, WA, was pulled over. Police Officer Christopher Hatfield arrived on the scene to assist. It was discovered that the motorcycle had been reported stolen in Jersey City. Sgt. Steven Kranz and Police Officers Joseph DiMartino and Brandon Fitzgibbons also arrived on the scene. Percy was arrested for receiving stolen property and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was also issued a summons for driving while suspended, driving the wrong way on a one-way street, and driving on a sidewalk, before being released.

16. On November 25, 2024, at approximately 11:42 a.m., Sgt. Steven Kranz and Police Officer Arturo Gonzalez responded to the 300 block of Harrison Street on reports of an individual acting suspicious on the roof of the building. They located a woman who matched the description given by callers, and she gave officers a fake name. Police Officer Bianca Arroyo arrived on the scene to assist. The woman provided at least two other false identities. While she was being placed under arrest, officers observed the woman attempting to discard two small clear vials that contained a white powdery rock substance believed to be CDS crack cocaine. They also located a syringe and a glass cylinder with steel wool and burn marks. The woman was later properly identified as 43-year-old Elizabeth Torres of Union City. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, and it was revealed she had a warrant for hindering apprehension out of Hoboken and one for simple assault out of Union City. She was charged with defiant trespassing, hindering apprehension, possession of CDS crack cocaine, possession of CDS heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

17. On November 25, 2024, at approximately 12:50 p.m., Police Officer Anthony Olivera was patrolling Church Square Park, when he observed a man, later identified as 56-year-old Monaque Younger of Hoboken, holding an open bottle of beer. It was discovered that Younger had a warrant out of West New York for driving without insurance, driving without a seat belt, and driving without a license. Younger was issued a summons for open container and released with a new court date.

18. On November 25, 2024, at approximately 8:45 p.m., Police Officer Kyle Seper was on the 1100 block of Park Avenue when he saw a car double parked. As he drove by, he noticed the engine was running and a man, later identified as 22-year-old Richard Falco of Hoboken, was sitting in the driver's seat which was reclined. It was discovered Falco had a warrant out of Hoboken for driving without insurance. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing, was able to pay bail, and was released with a new court date.

19. On November 26, 2024, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Police Officers Ronald Kibitlewski and Marvin DeJesus responded to PNC Bank, 111 River St., on reports of an individual sleeping in the vestibule. Police Officers Valentino Salgado and Anthony Rutkowski arrived on scene to assist. The man was recognized as 24-year-old Tyrese Buckhanon of Hoboken. He was issued a summons for defiant trespassing and told not to return to the location.

20. On November 26, 2024, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Police Officer Anthony Rutkowski was patrolling the area of Fourth and Jefferson Streets when he observed a woman sitting on a moped, wearing a black face mask. Moments later, the officer saw a man wearing a mask also get on the moped. He followed them to the intersection of First and Monroe Streets, when he noticed the moped had no registration and pulled it over. Police Officers Zackary Guido and Anish Bhisey arrived on the scene to assist. The driver was identified as 42-year-old Mina Mekhaiel of Bayonne, and it was observed that he was concealing something under his jacket, which was discovered to be a package addressed to someone else, on the 400 block of Jefferson Street. He was placed under arrest for package theft. Sgt. Harold Milne and Police Officers Alexander Miller and Valentino Salgado arrived on the scene. A search incident to arrest found 12 credit cards that did not belong to Mekhaiel, small clear crystals wrapped in a piece of tin foil suspected to be CDS crystal methamphetamine, one glass pipe commonly used to smoke CDS, and tools commonly used to commit burglarizes including a crowbar, three lock-picking tools, and four knives. Mekhaiel was charged with porch pirate theft, credit card theft, possession of CDS methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was issued summonses for operating an unregistered vehicle and failure to exhibit. After further investigation, he was also charged with burglary and possession of burglar tools. The woman on the moped gave officers a false name at first but was later identified as 43-year-old Danielle Pintlie of Passaic. She was placed under arrest and a search incident to arrest located a baggie of unused needles, and three with red liquid inside, suspected to be CDS heroin. Officers also found a small baggie of a crystal-like substance suspected CDS crystal meth and multiple wax folds with powder believed to be CDS. She was charged with possession of CDS methamphetamine, possession of CDS heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and package theft. Both individuals were transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and processed. Pintlie was issued a summons and released from custody. Mekhaiel was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

21. On November 26, 2024, Police Officer Arturo Gonzalez and Marco Grossmann respond to Saint Matthew's Shelter, 57 Eighth Street, on reports of an argument where one of the women involved was refusing to leave. The woman later identified as Keshia L. Robinson was still in the building and when officers approached her to inform her, she wasn’t welcome there and had to leave, she ignored them. She ignored repeated requests for her to leave the premises and refused to provide her identification. Police Officer Jessica Pizanie arrived to assist. Robinson was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where she was processed on defiant trespassing charges. She was released with her summons and a court date.
