On December 2, 2024 Millburn Police Officer Matos stopped a 2006 Toyota Sienna at The Short Hills mall for motor vehicle violations. The driver Wilmer Alboronoz-Colmenares, age 29, of Manhattan NY was unable to provide proof of registration or insurance for the vehicle. He provided the Officer a fraudulent driver’s license. This investigation led to the arrest of the suspect. He was charged with exhibiting false government documents, and multiple traffic violations.

On December 2, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Bifano stopped a Silver Toyota Camry on South Orange Ave in Short Hills for the vehicle failure to maintain a lane, and traveling with a flat tire. The investigation led to the arrest of Cyril Ngwu, age 44, of Newark, for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI and later released to an acquaintance.

On December 3, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Jezewski stopped a silver Ford Focus on Millburn Ave for the vehicle traveling the wrong direction, on a one-way road. The investigation led to the arrest of Angel Calderon, age 43, of Belleville NJ, for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Open containers of alcohol and suspected CDS were recovered from the vehicle. The suspect also damage property at Police HQ. He was charged with, criminal mischief, possession of CDS and DWI and later released to an acquaintance.

On December 4, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Hunt-Miles responded to Macy’s in the Short Hills Mall on a report of a theft that just occurred. Macy’s associates reported that Alexis Bruno-Adanaque, age 25 and Maria Cedeno, age 32, both from NY concealed a combined total of $408.00 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. The suspects were placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting and conspiracy.

On December 6, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Kelly responded to Macy’s in the Short Hills Mall on a report of a theft that just occurred. Macy’s associates reported that Jairo Chisaguano, age 25 from Newark concealed a total of $220.00 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. He was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On December 7, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Barrett responded to Main St on a report of a male sleeping in his vehicle in the lane of travel. The investigation led to the arrest of Charles Scheinerman, age 75, of Springfield NJ, for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Open containers of alcohol were recovered from the vehicle. He was charged with DWI and open alcohol containers in a vehicle.

On December 7, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Tucker responded to Neiman Marcus in the Short Hills Mall on a report of a theft that just occurred. The Store associates reported that Bimal Parekh, age 59 from Chatham, NJ concealed a total of $3095.00 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. He was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.

On December 7, 2024 Millburn Police Sergeant Royce located a stolen vehicle traveling on Millburn Ave near Vauxhall rd. The vehicle was a stolen 2023 GMC Savana Van, stolen out of Newark. Millburn Officers along with Union and Maplewood officers were able to detain the driver in the Millburn Mall parking lot in Union. Donald Hill, age 52, out of Maplewood NJ, was placed under arrest and charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle.

On December 15, 2024, Millburn Police Officer Recinos responded to Burberry in the Short Hills Mall on a report of a theft that just occurred. The Store associates reported that Mohini Mukherjee, age 48 from Skillman NJ concealed a total of $440.00 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. He was placed under arrest and charged with shoplifting.
