Guttenberg Police Blotter - December 16, 2024 to December 22, 2024

1. On December 16th, 2024, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 58-year-old Vicente S. Barrera-Astudillo of Hackensack, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Barrera-Astudillo was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Barrera-Astudillo was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released into the custody of staff from the Palisades Medical Center.

2. On December 16th, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a liquor store near the intersection of 68th Street and Park Avenue, after receiving a report of a customer refusing to leave. At that time, officers informed the male that the establishment did not wish he return, at which point the male left. A few moments later, officers again returned to the establishment, at which point they arrested 42-year-old Anthony Sanchez of Guttenberg, NJ, for defiant trespass [2C:12-3B(1)]. Mr. Sanchez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Sanchez was issued his complaint summons and then released into the care of staff from the Palisades Medical Center.

3. On December 22nd, 2024, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 42-year-old Maricon M. Reyes of Elmwood Park, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Ms. Reyes was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for her arrest processing. Upon the completion of her arrest processing, Ms. Reyes was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released into the custody of a responsible adult.


The charges above are merely accusations. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
