On 12/20/2024 at 1:10 AM, Secaucus Police observed a suspicious motor vehicle parked in the area of the Olive Garden located at 500 Route 3 West. During the investigation, the police arrested a 55-year-old male, George Mercado of Smithfield, NC for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle [2C:20-10.2A]. On 12/20/2024 at 3:13 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 25-year-old female, Chelse Davis-Morales of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hillside, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. The Hillside Police Department did release Ms. Davis-Morales on her own recognizance pending a future court date and she was released from police custody.

During the investigation, the police arrested a 50-year-old male, Juan Bedoya-Betancurt of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Bedoya-Betancurt was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
On 12/22/2024 at 3:26 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Kohl’s located at 3 Mill Creek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29-year-old female, Deborah Meyers of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Edison, NJ in the amount of $750.00 along with 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $300.00 for each warrant. Ms. Meyers was also charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Both the Newark Police Department and the Edison Police Department did release Ms. Meyers on her own recognizance pending future court dates in relation to the outstanding warrants. Ms. Meyers was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.

During the investigation, the police arrested a 26-year-old female, Dashell Jones of Manhattan, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police. Ms. Jones was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody.
