9028 Palisade Plaza, North Bergen, NJ
On Monday, January 13, 2025, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with a homicide that occurred in North Bergen on Monday, December 9, 2024.
Henry Delgado, of North Bergen, is charged with Murder in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3a(1); Unlawful Possession of a Weapon in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5b(1); Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-4a(1); Certain Persons Not to Possess a Weapon in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:39-7a; Disturbing/Desecrating Human Remains in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:22-1a(1); and Hindering in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:29-3b(1). He was arrested at a residence in Union City and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending his first court appearance.
Shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, the North Bergen Police Department was notified of an unresponsive male inside a second floor residence at 9028 Palisade Plaza. Responding officers located the lifeless body of a male, later identified as Juan Moyet, 48, of North Bergen. He was pronounced dead at the scene just after 3:50 p.m. The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office responded and determined the victim suffered an apparent head injury. On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, a post-mortem exam was conducted that determined the Cause of Death to be a Gunshot Wound to the Head and the Manner to be Homicide.
Prosecutor Suarez credited the arrest to the Homicide Unit, with assistance by the Gang Task Force, Hudson County Regional SWAT, the Union City Police Department, and the United States Marshals Service. The above charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty. R.P.C.3.6(b)(6)
