Denys Ludisaca
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Police Deputy Chief Joseph Rooney announce the arrest of Denys Ludisaca, 23 years old, of Little Ferry, New Jersey. Mr. Ludisaca was charged on January 16, 2025 after an investigation conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit. Mr. Ludisaca is charged with one count of first-degree kidnapping, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:13-1(b)(1); one count of second-degree sexual assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2(c)(1); one count of second-degree sexual assault, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:14- 2(c)(4); and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(a)(1).
On January 11, 2025, at approximately 10:56 pm, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office received a report that a girl between the ages of 13 and 15 had been sexually assaulted in a secluded area in the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, New Jersey. Based on the ensuing investigation conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, Denys Ludisaca was identified and charged. On January 16, 2025, Mr. Ludisaca was arrested at the Willowbrook Mall by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wayne Police Department.
The sentencing exposure on a first-degree kidnapping is twenty-five years to life in New Jersey State Prison, subject to a twenty-five year term of parole ineligibility, when the victim is less than sixteen years old; on a second degree sexual assault, it is five to ten years in New Jersey State Prison, with 85% of the term to be served before parole eligibility pursuant to the No Early Release Act; on third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, it is three to five years in New Jersey State Prison. If convicted, Mr. Ludisaca would be subject to Megan’s Law registration requirements and Parole Supervision for Life.
Mr. Ludisaca is currently in custody at the Bergen County Jail. On January 27, 2025, the Honorable Joseph A. Portelli, J.S.C. ordered that defendant remain in custody for the pendency of his case.
A criminal complaint is merely an accusation. Despite this accusation, defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
