
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 53-year-old ANDREW WOLKE of Easton, PA on charges of aggravated sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Haworth Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael Gracey.
On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, the Haworth Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged incident of sexual assault that had occurred in the past. An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Haworth Police Department revealed that ANDREW WOLKE sexually assaulted a child under the age of thirteen in April 2023 in Haworth, NJ.
As a result of the investigation, on Friday, January 31, 2025, ANDREW WOLKE was charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(1); and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1). WOLKE, who is currently incarcerated in Northampton County Prison in Easton, PA for an unrelated criminal matter, was served with the charges related to this case. WOLKE will remain in custody pending extradition to Bergen County, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. He would like to thank the Haworth Police Department for its assistance in this investigation.
