Guttenberg Police Blotter: January 20, 2025 to January 26, 2025

1. On January 20th, 2025, a male walked into the Guttenberg Police Department attempting to gather information regarding his Municipal Court appearance. During this incident, 44-year-old Jackson Marizan of Union City, NJ, became irate and started throwing a chair inside of the police department vestibule. Mr. Marizan was then arrested and charged with disorderly conduct [2C:33-2A(2)]. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Marizan was issued his complaint summons and released from police custody.

2. On January 24th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division observed a vehicle running, with the driver slouched behind the steering wheel. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 40-year-old Alfonso Ceron-Bravo of West New York, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Ceron-Bravo was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Ceron-Bravo was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released to the care of a responsible adult.

3. On January 26th, 2025, during a motor vehicle stop, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division arrested 34-year-old Juan J. Chajon-Chitay of West New York, NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant, issued by the North Bergen Municipal Court. Mr. Chajon-Chitay was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Chajon-Chitay was issued his traffic summons and then released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearance with the North Bergen Municipal Court.
