301 Union Avenue, Clifton, NJ
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Clifton Police Chief Thomas Rinaldi, and Clifton Fire Department Acting Chief Daniel Collins announce that on February 6, 2025, at approximately 8:26 p.m., members of the Clifton Fire Department and Clifton Police Department responded to 301 Union Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey, on a report of a working fire. One individual, Michael Lazor, 63-years-old from Clifton sustained injuries from the fire. He was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center and pronounced deceased.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
