The new Tenafly Municipal Pool is accepting early bird discount registrations for the summer of 2025 now through the end of February. Enjoy free group swim lessons for children, and a fun summer swim team for ages 5 to 17 with special events throughout the summer. Register by February 28 to receive your early bird discount. The Tenafly High School Philharmonic Orchestra directed by Will Farnham will perform tonight, February 7 at 7:00 pm at the Presbyterian Church. Free admission, all are welcome.
This Sunday at either 11:30 am or 1 pm the Nature Center welcomes everyone to sign up and learn all about creating syrup from maple trees. Learn how to identify a maple tree and discover the history of syrup making and how technology has changed the way we gather sap over the centuries. Also, on Sunday at 3 pm families with children ages 1.5 to 7 and siblings are welcome to learn more about Forest School and spend some time in the Outdoor Classroom space for forest school free play. The Tenafly Library Friends are excited to announce that the next Tuesday Afternoon monthly movie is the 2024 Academy Award nominated Best Film - Conclave. This remarkable movie will be shown next Tuesday, February 11 at 1:00 pm in the Friends room at the Tenafly Library. It is being shown free to everyone.
Stand Up for the Arts at the Kaplen JCC this Saturday, February 8 at 7 pm. Doors open at 6 pm. The KCC Art Gallery is hosting its Pachappa Camp exhibition now through February 15 at the KCC presenting the history of Korean immigration and the first Koreatown in the United States.
Come hear world class violinist, Tenafly’s own Elli Choi lead a rare and special Master Class on Tuesday, February 18 at 7 pm at the Presbyterian Church. Elli was recently awarded third prize at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Competition in Brussels, and winner of the World Monaco Violin Competition at age 15. ACEing Autism returns this spring to the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades for families with autism and volunteers alike. It is a wonderful way for high school teen volunteers to give back and engage in activity while providing hands-on basic skills, structure, socialization and most importantly, fun for participants.
