Guttenberg Police Blotter: February 3, 2025 to February 9, 2025

1. On February 4th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the intersection of 70th Street and Park Avenue after receiving a report of a fight. During their on-scene investigation, officers formally trespassed one of the involved individuals from an establishment near-by. Shortly after, 42-year-old Anthony Sanchez of Guttenberg, NJ, returned to the establishment, at which time he was placed under arrest for three active warrants, issued by the North Bergen and Union City Municipal Courts. Mr. Sanchez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Sanchez was released on his own recognizance, pending his next court appearances.

2. On February 5th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the intersection of 70th Street and Park Avenue after receiving a report of an unwanted male party inside of an establishment. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 42-year-old Anthony Sanchez of Guttenberg, NJ, for criminal trespass [2C:18-3A]. Mr. Sanchez was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Sanchez was issued his complaint summons and then released from police custody.

3. On February 7th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to the area of 68th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard for a report of a fight. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 28- year-old Jean P. Sarmiento of Ridgefield Park, NJ, after discovering that he had an active warrant, issued by the North Bergen Municipal Court. Mr. Sarmiento was then transferred into the custody of officers from the North Bergen Police Department for his arrest processing.

4. On February 9th, 2025, members of the Guttenberg Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a report of a driver asleep behind the steering wheel of a vehicle on Park Avenue. During their on-scene investigation, officers arrested 38-year-old Cirino Gonzalez-Morales of West New York, NJ, for driving while intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Gonzalez-Morales was then transported to the Guttenberg Police Department for his arrest processing. Upon the completion of his arrest processing, Mr. Gonzalez-Morales was issued numerous summonses for traffic violations and then released into the care of staff from the Palisades Medical Center.
