9/15/2024 11:05 AM, (Welfare Check)
A caller reported a male party unconscious on Matthew's Field. A Patrol Sergeant located a 48-year-old male, and found him to be in good health. The male reported to be homeless and agreed to vacate the baseball field.

9/17/2024 4:50 PM, (Burglary)
A Hazley Avenue resident reported returning home to find a rear window broken and the interior of the home to be ransacked. Rochelle Park Detectives and Bergen County Sheriff's BCI team responded. Detectives processed the scene, gathered evidence, and an investigation is ongoing.

9/18/2024 1:33 AM (Auto Theft Recovery)
A Patrol Officer located an Audi A3 parked in a remote corner of the Rochelle Park Swim Club parking lot. A registration check revealed the car was reported stolen out of New York City on 9/14. The NYPD was contacted and confirmed the theft. Officers checked the area for suspects, no parties were located in the area. The duty tow removed the vehicle and the owner was notified.

9/18/2024 7:41 AM, (Welfare Check)
Numerous reports of a female screaming in the area of Oldis Street. Patrol responded and located a 17-year-old female. The female was upset over receiving an overnight parking summons. Patrol spoke with the juveniles' parents and cleared from the scene.

9/18/2024 6:45 PM, (Juvenile Complaint)
A resident flagged down a Patrol Sergeant to report vandalism. The resident of Cedar Drive reported that juveniles repeatedly enter her property and damage flags on her front lawn. Surveillance footage was reviewed, a local juvenile was identified and addressed.

9/18/2024 9:26 PM, (Domestic Violence Order)
A Forest Place resident reported a pattern of harassment and violence from a current household member. A temporary restraining order was applied for and granted. The defendant was served and complied with the order.

9/21/2024 7:30 AM, (Unwanted Person)
A representative from a Route 17 office building reported an unknown male lingering in the building after business hours. The party vacated the building prior to police arrival, extra checks to be conducted.

9/21/2024 9:24 AM, (Suspicious Occurrence)
A West Passaic Street car wash owner reported finding human feces on the side of her building. A review of surveillance footage displayed a female running on Passaic Street, stopped in the alleyway, defecated, and continued with her "runs".

9/21/2024 3:41 PM, (Suspicious Person)
A caller reported several individuals drinking and barbecuing in the rear parking lot of a Passaic Street hotel. Patrol Officers spoke to a group of people who claimed they were given permission to drink from hotel management. All parties were advised of Township Ordinances and departed the area.

9/22/2024 2:43 PM, (Aided)
A caller reported loading groceries in her vehicle and accidently locking a 2-year-old child inside. Officers responded, utilized a "lock out tool" and safely gained entry to the vehicle. Mother and child were re-united without incident.

9/22/2024 5:54 PM, (Suspicious Occurrence)
A caller reported several parties in the rear of a Passaic Street hotel. The individuals were reported to possess open containers of alcohol. In this case the hotel staff was the complainant. All parties, South Carolina residents, were advised of Township Ordinances and dispersed.

9/22/2024 8:27 PM, (Breach of Peace - Customer Dispute)
An attendant from a Route 17 gas station reported a customer whom he had a previous dispute with, saw him outside of work, and kicked his car door. There was no visible damage to the vehicle and the suspect left the scene. The attendant was advised to call police if the suspect returns.

9/23/2024 3:43 AM, (Arrest - Adult)
A Patrol Sergeant observed an open car trunk at a West Passaic Street auto body shop. A check of the vehicle revealed a sleeping male inside. The homeless male, age 39, was arrested for criminal trespass and obstruction of a government function.

9/23/2024 1:44 PM, (Suspicious Occurrence)
A Rochelle Avenue ice cream shop reported a middle-aged female attempted to enter the business through an employee only entrance. Patrol responded and reviewed surveillance footage. The female was identified as a 52-year-old from Old Tappan. The female was known to experience mental health episodes. A welfare check was conducted and all appeared in order.

9/24/2024 10:46 AM, (Narcotics Arrest - Adult)
A patrol officer observed a vehicle with a cracked windshield on Route 17. A motor vehicle stop ensued, and the driver, a 32 year old female from Cutler Bay, Florida, did not possess a valid drivers license. An investigation revealed the driver and passenger, a 39-year-old male from Miami, Fl., possessed prescription narcotics, cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine. Arrests were made and several narcotics charges were lodged.

9/24/2024 7:32 PM, (Robbery - Arrest)
Multiple callers reported a male assaulted another male near a West Passaic Street supermarket. Responding officers learned the suspect assaulted a victim and stole his wallet. Officers located the suspect on Bennett Avenue, and found the victims' wallet in his pocket. A 32-year-old male from Passaic was arrested and charged with 2nd degree robbery. He was committed to the Bergen County Jail.

9/25/2024 3:10 AM, (Domestic Violence - Arrest)
A caller from Central Avenue reported a household member throwing objects. Patrol located 2 intoxicated residents and found one to have visible injuries. A 49-year-old male resident was arrested and charged with simple assault.

9/25/2024 4:29 PM, (Breach of Peace)
A female caller reported a male party was broadcasting a TikTok live about her. Patrol located the "TikTok-er" in question at an area hotel. The male stated the female uses social media to beg for money due to homelessness. He went on to state that he was exposing this person to the social media world because he believes the female uses donated money to purchase narcotics. All parties were separated and agreed to leave the area.

9/26/2024 12:38 PM, (Narcotics Arrest - Adult)
A Patrol Captain located a suspicious vehicle parked behind a Rochelle Avenue convenience store. The occupant of the vehicle was found to be smoking and possessing crack cocaine. The 49-year-old male driver from Maywood was arrested, charged with C.D.S. possession, and released.

9/28/2024 5:17 AM, (Attempted Burglary)
An alarm company reported a glass break from an Essex Street pharmacy. Responding officers located a shattered glass door. Entry was not made and no proceeds were identified. Detectives were assigned.

9/30/2024 7:24 PM, (Breach of Peace)
A caller from Durand Place reported a physical fight between family members. Responding patrol found that one of the involved parties fled the scene. No injuries were observed and neither party requested a protection order.

In addition, (27) suspicious persons/vehicles were vetted and (97) motor vehicle stops were conducted in a 16-day span.


A charge is not a conviction. All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges can be amended or dismissed.
