Hello. This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update.

Don't miss out on the Pool Membership/Recky's & Teen Camp discount bundle! Register online at Community Pass for a Municipal Pool Membership and receive a discount on Recky's or Teen Camp Registration.

Take advantage of the Early-bird discount to join the Tenafly Municipal Pool. Free children's group swim lessons for members; fun summer swim team for ages 5 to 17; and special events throughout the summer. For details visit: tenaflynj.org/pool

Recreation Spring/Summer Sports, Events, Camps & Program guide is available online now. Spring registration for residents opens February 24 on Community Pass. Visit the Borough website under Parks & Recreation for details.

Tenafly Public Schools - New Student Registration (K-12) for 2025-2026 is now open. They are also accepting applications through March 14th for the full-day Integrated Preschool Program. The lottery will be held on March 17. For more information, visit www.tenaflyschools.org and select the "Registration" option.

This Saturday at 11 am the Nature Center is pleased to partner with Senior Center for Maple Sugar Making, next in a series of TNC programs just right for Seniors. This session will be held at the Senior Center and those interested should register in person or by phone with the Senior Center.

This Sunday at either 11:30 am or 1 pm the Nature Center welcomes all ages to sign up and learn all about creating syrup from maple trees. Learn how to identify a maple tree and discover the history of syrup making and how technology has changed the way we gather sap over the centuries. The Korean Community Center is hosting a Resource and Community Fair this Saturday, February 22 from 9 am to 5 pm at the KCC on Grove Street. Everyone is invited. Experience traditional Korean food, a Bazaar, traditional Korean Games, think Squid Games, professional vendors, and photo booths.

The Tenafly Library Friends are pleased to announce a truly interesting Book Talk on Thursday, February 27 at 11am at the Library. Long time Tenafly resident and author, Claire Tunick will discuss her amazing book, Red Hair, Blue Lips; a Mother's Love, a Daughter's Illness, and the Meaning of Life. This incredible memoir is told with brutal honesty, compassion, and love. Join in as she shares her story and tells how life's difficulties define our character and shape our lives.

The Highwood Ensemble, wind and piano quintet, will be playing an eclectic mix of classic, romantic, jazz, and contemporary music for wind and piano. ACEing Autism returns this spring to the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades for families with autism and volunteers alike. It is a wonderful way for high school teen volunteers to give back and engage in activity while providing hands-on basic skills, structure, socialization and most importantly, fun for participants. The Senior Center is organizing an excursion to the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, scheduled for April 29 to 30. For details, please contact the Senior Center.
