29-Year-Old Man Shot in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray announce that at approximately 9:00 p.m. on April 4, 2025, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey on a report of a shooting. Police were able to locate a 29-year-old male victim from Paterson suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound. The victim arrived at the hospital via private vehicle. Police were able to determine a shooting took place in the area of Van Houten Street and Straight Street. Police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
