1. On March 27, 2025, at approximately 1:25 a.m., Police Officers Carmen Benitez and Frank were on patrol of the Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA), when they observed an individual sitting against a wall on the 300 block of Harrison Street. When officers approached, the man began to walk away. It was discovered he did not live in the HHA and gave officers a false name at first. It was discovered his real name was 56-year-old Dwayne Murray of Jersey City. He was placed under arrest and a search incident to arrest located a glass cylinder pipe with two burnt ends along with wax paper containing suspected CDS heroin. Murray was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was charged with criminal trespassing, possession with intent to use, hindering apprehension, and possession of CDS. He was released from custody on a summons.
2. On March 27, 2025, at approximately 8:45 a.m., Police Officers Daniel Barron and Harry Montalvo were on Third Street approaching Bloomfield Street, when they saw 47-year-old Tony Caamano of Hoboken outside the Hoboken Homeless Shelter, 300 Bloomfield St. They knew he had two outstanding warrants; one out of Hoboken for shoplifting and the other out of Union City for failure to appear. The warrants were confirmed, and Caamano was arrested. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and processed and later taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
3. On March 27, 2025, at approximately 6:10 p.m., Detectives Ramon Calderon and Paul Quinn observed a vehicle inside a parking lot on the 600 block of Sixth Street, with the engine running and no one inside. Three men, including one they recognized as 19-year-old Reynaldo Pueguero of Hoboken, came to the car. Detectives Fabian Quinones and Anthony Azzoline and Police Officers Roberto Cuevas and Leroy Sherrill arrived on the scene to assist. It was discovered that Peguero had an active warrant out of Jersey City. He was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was released from custody on bail with a new court date.
4. On March 27, 2025, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Police Officers Alyssa Rivera and Shawn Sodora responded to the 300 block of Marshall Drive on reports of an unknown individual banging on the door of a unit. When they arrived, they identified a person who fit the description of the actor as 30-year-old Crystal Bent of Hoboken. During an on-scene investigation, Bend attempted to leave multiple times, and she refused to give officers identification. She was placed under arrest and attempted to resist. Bent was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where she was processed on charges of defiant trespassing and resisting arrest. She was released from custody with a summons.
5. On March 28, 2025, at approximately 1:10 a.m. Police Officer Brian Kim and Marvin DeJesus were on patrol in the area of First and Washington Streets when they saw a vehicle improperly parked near a crosswalk with a man sleeping in the driver’s seat. When they approached the vehicle and got closer, they observed a baby sleeping on the back seat and not in a car seat. Officers woke up the driver, later identified as 28-year-old Seneca Barree of the Bronx, and noticed an open alcoholic beverage container in the cup holder near the driver’s seat. It was discovered he had an outstanding warrant out of Texas. He was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he was charged with being a fugitive from justice. After processing he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
6. On March 28, 2025, at approximately 1:25 a.m., Police Officers Carmen Benitez and Brandon Cappelluti were on walking patrol of the Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) and saw the door of an HHA building on the 500 block of Jackson Street, propped open. During a sweep of the building, they saw an individual outside, on the 600 block of Sixth Street. After conducting the sweep, officers located the man in a different HHA building on the 600 block of Sixth Street and it was discovered he did not live inside that building. The man, later identified as 30-year-old Gabreth Floyd of Hoboken, was arrested for trespassing. A search incident to arrest located 28 red pills, 30 blue pills, and 27 purple pills, suspected to be CDS ecstasy. Floyd was further charged with distribution of CDS, distribution of CDS within 500 feet of a public housing, and distribution of CDS within 1,000 feet of school property. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where he was processed and later taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
7. On March 28, 2025, at approximately 3:10 a.m., Police Officer Andrias Bonilla was driving on Sinatra Drive approaching Hudson Street when he saw a car fail to stop at a red light. The officer pulled the vehicle over, and when he approached the driver, later identified as 44-year-old Carlos Sanchez of Jersey City, he could smell the strong scent of alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. Sanchez could not produce a driver's license. A standardized field sobriety test was conducted. Police Officers David Chicara, Christopher Soto, and Kevin De La Cruz arrived on the scene for assistance. It was determined Sanchez was too impaired to operate a motor vehicle and he was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. During an on-scene investigation, officers observed a glass cylindrical tube in the car. A passenger, later identified as 43-year-old Dudley Villacis of Jersey City, was removed from the vehicle and the car was searched. Officers found two glass cylindrical tubes, an open Heineken bottle, and a water bottle partially filled with alcohol. Villacis was also arrested. Both men were transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where Sanchez refused a breath test. He was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, refusal to provide a breath test, failure to stop or yield, possession of CDS in vehicle, open container of alcohol in a vehicle, driving after suspended license, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Villacis was charged with open container of alcohol in a vehicle and possession with intent to use. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. As per John’s Law, Sanchez was released into the custody of a responsible party.
8. On March 28, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Police Officers Aaron Font and Jessica Pizanie were on routine patrol of the Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) on the 200 block of Harrison Street, when they observed a woman, they could identify as 43-year-old Shavon Smith of Jersey City, who they knew had an open warrant for her arrest. As officers approached Smith, they saw her drop a glass cylindrical tube with a burnt end and residue on the inside. She was placed under arrest and transported to Hoboken Police headquarters where it was confirmed she had an open warrant from the Jersey City Police Department. She was processed on that warrant and on new charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. Smith was taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
9. On March 28, 2025, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Det. Connor Milne and Police Officer Nicholas Protopapadakis observed two men near the intersection of Second and Jackson Streets, who appeared to be concealing something. A short time later, they saw one of the men, later identified as 50-year-old Jose Santos of Jersey City, raise a cylindrical glass pipe to his mouth and apply a lighter to the end of it. Officers approached the men and announced themselves as members of the Hoboken Police Department. Santos threw the glass pipe onto the sidewalk. He was placed under arrest. As officers placed the other man, later identified as 27-year-old Evan Bressler of Chatham, under arrest, he dropped an item identified as a clear glass cylindrical pipe on the ground. Detective Fabian Quinones and Police Officers Anthony Azzoline, Harry Montalvo, and Daniel Barron arrived on the scene to assist. During a search incident to arrest of Bressler, two small clear containers containing a white rocklike substance suspected to be CDS crack cocaine were located. Both men were transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. Santos was found to have active arrest warrants for his arrest out of Hoboken, Jersey City, and Union City. He was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. It was also confirmed he was the actor in an attempted package theft on the 600 block of Willow Avenue reported on March 21, 2025. He was further charged with criminal trespassing and transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. Bressler was charged with possession of CDS crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
10. On March 28, 2025, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Police Officers Stephen Chowanec and David Smentkowski responded to Hoboken Police Headquarters to process the arrest of 23-year-old Teonna Moore of West Orange, who turned herself in on two separate warrants including one out of Hoboken for aggravated assault and weapons possession, and one out of West Orange. She posted bail and was released with new court dates.
11. On March 29, 2025, at approximately 1:20 a.m., Sgt. Roary Miller and Police Officers Brandon Cappelluti and Anish Bhisey responded to Napoli’s Pizzeria, 1116 Washington St., on reports of a woman locked inside. They identified the woman as 59-year-old Roxanne Rella-Nardiello of Roseland and were able to get her out of the establishment, which was closed at the time. She was issued a summons for defiant trespassing and released on the scene.
12. On March 29, 2025, at approximately 11:35 a.m., Police Officers Jessica Pizanie and Nasir Willey were on patrol of the Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) when they observed 25-year-old Raffaelle Spadavecchia of Hoboken, and knew he had active warrants out of Newark on multiple traffic violations. He was stopped on the 300 block of Jackson Street, arrested, and given a new court date before being released on the scene.
13. On March 29, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Police Officers Rose Kanan, Matthew Bonanno, Marc Lombardi, and Enrico Gnassi responded to the 200 block of Jackson Street on reports of a person trespassing with the caller following the actor. Officers located the individual on the corner of First and Jackson Streets and they learned the actor, identified as 38-year-old Daniel Pena of Hoboken, was seen in a building that he didn’t live in. He was issued a summons for defiant trespassing and released from the scene.
14. On March 30, 2025, at approximately 4:10 p.m., Sgt. Michael Straten and Police Officers Enrico Gnassi and Kyle Seper responded to the 900 block of Hudson Street on reports of a dispute. Upon arrival, they saw two men engaged in an argument. The men were separated and an on-scene investigation revealed that one of the men, later identified as 32-year-old Thomas Gambino of Hoboken, began yelling obscenities after seeing a political flag in a residential window. He also spit on a car nearby. Gambino was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and released on the scene.
15. On March 31, 2025, at approximately 12 p.m., Det. Sgt. William Collins and Police Officer Nicholas Protopapadakis were on the 200 block of Harrison Street, when they saw an individual walking on Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) property. The man, later identified as 30-year-old Edgar Najera of Hoboken, was then seen pacing a parking lot of a shopping center on the 300 block of Jackson Street without entering a store. It was discovered Najera had an active warrant for his arrest out of Jersey City. He was placed under arrest and a search incident to arrest discovered he was in possession of a wax fold containing suspected CDS heroin, three glass pipes, three tinted containers commonly used to store CDS, wire mesh, a green tinted pill bottle, and an empty wax fold. He was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and processed on charges of loitering to commit a drug offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of CDS heroin. Najera was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
16. On March 31, 2025, at approximately 11:55 a.m., Sgt. James Barbro and Police Officers Jonathan Figueroa, Harry Montalvo, and Tyrone Huggins responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting. An on-scene investigation revealed an individual, later identified as 64-year-old Joseph Davis of Hoboken, was seen paying for only a portion of the items in his shopping cart and attempting to leave without paying for other items, worth approximately $176, before store security stopped him at the exit. Davis was arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. He was charged with shoplifting, processed, and released from custody with a summons.
17. On March 31, 2025, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Police Officer Marc Lombardi responded to Lululemon, 313 Washington St., on reports of a possible shoplifting. When he arrived, employees told the officer two actors had already left the store with merchandise they didn’t pay for and got into a white car headed northbound on Washington Street. Police Officers Shawn Sodora and Shyenna Vega arrived on the scene to assist. Witnesses provided officers with the license plate of the car the actors left in, along with a description. Sgt. Harold Milne saw the vehicle and followed it on a bicycle until Detective Paul Quinn and Police Officer Joshua Campoverde stopped the car on Sixth and Washington Streets. Sgt. John Quinones and Police Officers Ahmed Makshat and PO Mario Rodriguez also responded. Store employees confirmed two passengers in the car, later identified as 22-year-old Aniyah Sowell of Newark, and 24-year-old Quadia Watson of Newark, were in fact the actors. They were placed under arrest for shoplifting. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 20-year-old Jennifer Lee of Bloomfield, and she was arrested for conspiracy and shoplifting. A search of the vehicle located Lululemon clothing items with tags still attached. The total value of the stolen property was $466.12. All three were transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing. Sowell and Watson were transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. Lee was released with a summons.
18. On April 1, 2025, at approximately 6:45 p.m., Det. Sgt. William Collins was on the 200 block of Harrison Street when he noticed a man, later identified as 40-year-old Arsenio Mercado of Roselle Park, walk toward the basement entrance of a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building, which is only accessible to HHA employees. An on-scene investigation revealed Mercado was urinating by the building. He was issued a summons for urinating in public. Police Officers Nassir Wiley and Aidan Gonzalez arrived on the scene to assist. It was learned that Mercado had a warrant for his arrest out of Hoboken for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested and a search incident to arrest found him to be in possession of two glass pipes burnt on the ends with wire mesh, one push rod, and a small plastic bag containing a white rock like substance suspected CDS crack cocaine. Mercado was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters and charged with possession of CDS crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. After being processed, he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
19. On April 1, 2025, Police Officers Aidan Gonzalez and Nasir Willey responded to the 200 block of 200 Harrison Street on reports of an individual using suspected CDS on Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) property. Upon arrival they located a person, later identified as 48- year-old Donna Canetti of Jersey City, who fit the description of the actor. No CDS or related paraphernalia was seen. She was issued a summons for defiant trespassing and released from custody on the scene.
20. On April 2, 2025, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Det. Sgt. William Collins and Police Officer Nicholas Protopapadakis were on the 200 block of Harrison Street, when they witnessed a man, later identified as 39-year-old Lenard Wiggins of Bayonne walk toward the basement entrance of a Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) building, which is only accessible to HHA employees. It was discovered Wiggins had an active warrant out of Manchester Township. He was given a new court date, warned about trespassing on HHA property, and released from custody on the scene.
21. On April 2, 2025, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Police Officers Leroy Sherrill and Roberto Cuevas observed a man on the 300 block of Marshall Drive, who abruptly turned and walked away when he saw the officers. They observed the man again in the same area, on Hoboken Housing Authority (HHA) property a few minutes later, this time he appeared lost and was staring into the air. An on-scene investigation revealed the man, later identified as 34-year-old Kenny Cardona of North Bergen, was not a resident of HHA. He was issued a summons for defiant trespassing and released from custody on the scene.
22. On April 2, 2025, at approximately 11:10 p.m., Police Officers Marvin De Jesus and Jairo De La Cruz responded to Louise and Jerrys, 329 Washington St., on reports of a dispute. An on-scene investigation revealed a woman, later identified as 27-year-old Michelle Maina of Piscataway, was asked to leave the bar when she became disorderly and pushed an employee. She then placed her hands on the employee’s throat and threatened to kill her. Officers Keven De La Cruz and Shyenna Vega located Maina on the 400 block of Washington Street, and she provided a fake name and birthdate. She was arrested for making terroristic threats and simple assault. She was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where her identity was discovered, along with a warrant from Elizabeth. She refused to be fingerprinted. Maina was further charged with hindering apprehension and refusal of fingerprints. She was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
