
On 04/07/2025 at 3:33 PM, Secaucus Police observed an individual enter the Green Farmers Market located at 101 Plaza Centre Road. The police had prior knowledge that the individual was previously trespassed from the establishment. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36-year-old male, Anthony Hines of Paterson, NJ for Defiant Trespassing [2C:18-3B(3)]. Hines was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 04/08/2025 at 7:08 PM, Secaucus Police responded to CVS located at 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 56-year-old male, Jose Vazquez of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clifton, NJ in the amount of $3,500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Garfield, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $1,002.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Vazquez was also charged with shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Vazquez was additionally charged with shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] for a separate shoplifting incident that took place at CVS on 04/05/2025. Mr. Vazquez was issued both complaint warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 04/08/2025 at 3:02 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Wayne Police Department to take into custody a 34-year-old female, Stephanie Lasso of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Lasso was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody.
On 04/09/2025 at 11:25 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to an incident of Eluding that occurred on 03/21/2025 in the area of 800 Plaza Drive, the police arrested a 31-year-old male, Claude Nicolas of Elizabeth, NJ for Eluding [2C:29-2B]. Nicolas was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road. Mr. Nicolas was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 04/10/2025 at 5:23 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 44-year-old male, Monzer Said of Secaucus, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Said was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On 04/11/2025 at 2:33 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Bergen County Jail to take into custody a 31-year-old male, Patrick Williams of Garfield, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $600.00. Williams also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $74.00. Mr. Williams was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On 04/11/2025 at 3:16 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31-year-old male, Ruben Paulino of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Manchester, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 along with 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Asbury Park, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. Both Manchester Police Department and Asbury Park released Mr. Paulino on his own recognizance pending future court dates. Paulino was issued 3 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.
On 04/11/2025 at 4:22 PM, Secaucus Police was advised of a motor vehicle crash that had occurred in the area of 292 Born Street where a parked motor vehicle was found to be struck. During the investigation, the police arrested a 50-year-old male, Gary Branda of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Branda was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Woodbridge, NJ in the amount of $10,000.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. Mr. Branda was issued 5 motor vehicle summonses. Mr. Branda was unable to post bail for the involved warrants. Officers from the Woodbridge Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Branda for transport back to their authority.
On 04/11/2025 at 5:45 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Burlington Coat Factory located at 31 Mill Creek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 47-year-old female, Tobay Rocio of College Point, NY and a 35-year-old male, Giovanni Yancha-Chango of Union City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)]. Yancha-Chango was also charged with Using an Anti-Shoplifting Device [2C:20-11F] and was found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Washington Township, NJ with no bail. Washington Township did release Mr. Yancha-Chango on his own recognizance pending a future court date, since he already satisfied that warrant. Both Ms. Rocio and Mr. Yancha-Chango were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
