Secaucus Police Blotter 02/13/2023 - 02/19/2023

On 02/15/2023 at 1:56 AM, Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle crash in the area of the Maple Street Ramp and the entrance to Route 3 West. During the investigation, the police arrested a 39-year-old male, David Valle of Cliffwood Beach, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50] and Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Valle was issued his complaint summons along with his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

In continuance of a follow up investigation conducted by the Anti-Crime Unit, the following individuals were charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Crack/Cocaine [2C:35-5b(3)], Possession with the Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine [2C:35-5b(9)], four Counts of Possession of CDS (Heroin, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Xanax) [2C:35-10a(1)], Possession with the Intent to Distribute within 500 feet of a Public Park [2C:35-7.1] and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3] on 2/15/23. William Shutte, 29, of Secaucus, Jason Flores, 36, of Teaneck and Isiah Medina, 27 of Union City. All were lodged in the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/16/2023 at 12:19 AM, Secaucus police observed a motor vehicle crash in the area of Weigands Lane and Moller Street. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53-year-old male, Paras Naik of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Naik was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 02/16/2023 at 6:07 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Restaurant Depot located at 777 Secaucus Road on a report of a physical altercation between 2 individuals. During the investigation, the police arrested a 31-year-old female, Aika Emmanuel of Hillside, NJ for Simple Assault [2C:12-1A(1)]. Ms. Emmanuel was issued his complaint summons and she was subsequently released from police custody.

On 02/16/2023 at 9:36 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Kearny Police Department to take into custody a 31-year-old female, Megan Mcgirr of Kearny, NJ for 2 outstanding warrants issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $750.00 total bail. Ms. Mcgirr was unable to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 02/19/2023 at 3:36 AM, Secaucus Police observed a vehicle in which the North Bergen Police Department had previously reported was involved in a Burglary in their jurisdiction. The police attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop of the vehicle but the vehicle failed to stop and a vehicular pursuit was initiated. The vehicle, which was later found to be stolen, purposely drove into a Secaucus Police Vehicle. After the vehicular pursuit was terminate, the stolen vehicle subsequently came to a stop in the area of 585 Windsor Drive, where all of the occupants then fled from the police on foot. The police were able to take into custody a 29 year old male, Randre Morgan of Newark, NJ for Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer [2C:12-1B(5)], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2B], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Eluding [2C:29-2A(1)] and Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A]. Mr. Morgan was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Mr. Morgan was issued his complaint warrant along with 9 motor vehicle summonses. Officers from the North Bergen Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took into custody Mr. Morgan for transport to their authority for their investigation.

On 02/19/2023 at 5:29 AM, Secaucus Police responded to the area of County Avenue and Charles Street on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 48-year-old male, Eyin Taverastoribio of the Bronx, NY for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Taverastoribio was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.
