Secaucus Police Blotter 06/05/2023 - 06/11/2023

On 06/07/23 at 8:07 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29-year-old male, Alex Vargas of North Bergen, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)], Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)]. The police also arrested a 19-year-old female, Jessyca Guzmanreisancho of North Bergen, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Conspiracy to commit Shoplifting [2C:5-2A(1)] and Endangering the Welfare of a Child [2C:24-4A(2)]. Both Mr. Vargas and Ms. Guzmanreisancho were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On 06/07/2023 at 9:39 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the intersection of County Road and County Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation, the police arrested a 37-year-old male, Lucas Angel of Secaucus, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Angel was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 4 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 06/08/2023 at 9:12 AM, Secaucus Police responded to 5000 Brianna Lane on a report of a motor vehicle crash where multiple parked vehicles were struck. During the investigation, the police arrested a 42-year-old male, Volodymyr Sarakhman of Manalapan, NJ for Driving Under the Influence [39:4-50]. Sarakhman was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with 1 additional motor vehicle summons and he was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On 06/09/2023 at 2:29 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 21-year-old male, Amakar Albuja of West New York, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Elizabeth, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Albuja was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 10 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

On 06/09/2023 at 9:07 PM, while the police were on scene at the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway investigating a medical related incident, it was brought to the attention of officers of suspicious activity that had been occurring in one of the rooms of the hotel. During the investigation, the police arrested a 41-year-old male, Antonio Gines of Saddle River, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug [2C:35-10.5E(2)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. The police also arrested a 50-year-old male, Sean Kemp of Hackensack, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of a Prescription Legend Drug [2C:35-10.5E(2)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Kemp was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of South Hackensack, NJ in the amount of $1,500.00. Both Mr. Gines and Mr. Kemp was issued their complaint warrants and were transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/10/2023 at 8:48 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 23-year-old male, Maher El Majzoub of New York, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. El Majzoub was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On 06/10/2023 at 10:09 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Residence Inn located at 800 Plaza Drive on a report of individuals engaged in a fight. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24 year old male, Patrick Maloney of the United Kingdom for 2 counts of Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(1)], 2 counts of Conspiracy to commit Aggravated Assault [2C:5-2A(1)], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, specifically a Taser [2C:39-4D] and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, specifically a Taser, [2C:39-5D]. Maloney was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
