Secaucus Police Blotter 06/26/2023 - 07/02/2023

On 06/27/2023 at 3:34 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 35-year-old female, Jasmine McNeill of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Plumsted, NJ in the amount of $750.00 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100.00. Ms. McNeill was released on her own recognizance by both the Plumsted and Secaucus pending future court dates. Ms. McNeill was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and she was released from police custody.

On 06/28/2023 at 8:13 AM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 43-year-old male, Nicolas Prieto-Valdiva of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of South Plainfield, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00. South Plainfield did release Mr. Prieto-Valdiva on his own recognizance pending a future court date. Mr. Prieto-Valdiva was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released from police custody.

On 06/28/2023 at 4:09 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 40-year-old male, Edward Wood of Philadelphia, PA for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Elizabeth, NJ in the amount of $1,000.00 with a 10% option. Mr. Wood was able to post bail for the involved warrant and he was released from police custody.

On 06/28/2023 at 9:07 PM, during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23-year-old male, Justin Roseboro of Ridgefield Park, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $4,000.00 with a 10% option. Officers from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to take custody of Mr. Roseboro. Mr. Roseboro was issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and he was released into the custody of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office.

On 06/28/2023 at 10:33 PM, Secaucus Police responded to the Secaucus Municipal Pool located at 2000 Koelle Boulevard on a report of individuals at the complex after business hours. During the investigation, the police arrested a 33-year-old male, Elmer Timarky of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ with no bail. Mr. Timarky was subsequently transported to the Jersey City Police Department.

On 06/29/2023 at 6:18 PM, in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to a shoplifting and robbery that occurred at Best Buy located at 3 Millcreek Drive on 05/04/2023, the police arrested a 34-year-old male, Abdourahmane Seck of Brooklyn, NY for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(3)] and Robbery [2C:15-1A(3)]. Mr. Seck was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail which stemmed from this incident. Mr. Seck was arrested at Secaucus Police Headquarters located at 1203 Paterson Plank Road after Mr. Seck entered Police Headquarters for the purpose of turning himself in for the outstanding warrant. Mr. Seck was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/30/2023 at 5:15 PM, Secaucus Police responded to T.J. Maxx located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 49-year-old male, Malcolm Sirmons of New York, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00. Mr. Sirmons was also charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Mr. Sirmons was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On 06/30/2023 at 11:28 PM, Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested 30 year old female, Catherine Ortega of Lyndhurst, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A]. Ms. Ortega was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Morris County, NJ with no bail. The police also arrested a 27-year-old male, Joshua Caba of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Bergen County, NJ with no bail. Ms. Ortega was issued her complaint summons and Detectives from the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Ms. Ortega for transport back to their authority. Mr. Caba was subsequently transported to the Bergen County Jail.

On 07/01/2023 at 12:53 PM, Secaucus Police responded to T.J. Maxx located at 3 Millcreek Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 48-year-old female, Nelis Perez of West New York, NJ for shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)]. Ms. Perez was issued her complaint summons and she was released from police custody.

On 07/02/2023 at 1:13 PM, Secaucus Police observed an abandoned vehicle parked on the 700 block of Irving Place. During the investigation, the police arrested a 46-year-old male, Reynaldo Carpio of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued by the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. Mr. Carpio was issued 1 parking summons and Officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Carpio for transport back to their authority.
