1. On April 28, 2023, at approximately 2 a.m., Police Officers Aaron Font and Shawn Sodora
were in the area of 400 Newark St. when they observed 55-year-old Willie Fredericks of
Hoboken who they knew to have open warrants for previous burglaries of bicycles from a
residence on Grand Street and $1,700 of tools from a business on Bloomfield Street. Fredericks
was arrested, and a search incident to arrest revealed drug paraphernalia. He was transported to
Hoboken Police Headquarters where he was processed on burglary and criminal mischief
warrants out of Hoboken. Fredericks was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
2. On April 28, 2023, at approximately 7 p.m., Police Officers Nicholas Losurdo and Mark
Mooreman arrived at Police Headquarters to take custody of 42-year-old Eliezer Vasquez of
Union City. Vasquez had been brought in by Port Authority Police Officers on an arrest warrant
out of Hoboken for theft of services on May 5, 2022. He was found to have another warrant from
February 6, 2023, out of Jersey City. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional
Facility.
3. On April 29, 2023, at approximately 12 p.m., Police Officers Roberto Cuevas and Bernardo
Munoz responded to Body Balance at 20 Hudson Pl. on reports that a man who entered without
an appointment was making the staff feel uncomfortable. Officers escorted the man, later
identified as 33-year-old Abdul Franklin of Brooklyn out of the store. He was identified as the
same person who caused an earlier disturbance at Gregory’s Coffee at 111 River St. At that
point, there were no other complaints, so he was let go. A witness later identified Franklin as the
suspect in a shoplifting incident at Hoboken Smoke at 22 Hudson Pl. two days earlier, where he
stole a vape pen and threatened the employee if she called police. A complaint was generated,
charging Franklin with robbery and two counts of hindering apprehension. The next day, on
April 30, 2023, Police Officers Shelby Seickendick and Mark Mooreman responded to Police
Headquarters where NJIT Police had brought Franklin. He was processed on the charges and
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
4. On April 30, 2023, at approximately 1:56 a.m. Police Officers Bianca Arroyo and Aaron Font
were conducting a traffic stop in the area of 95 Washington St., when they observed two men,
later identified as 28-year-old Patrick Kelly of Hoboken and 27-year-old Steven Pusterla of
Wayne, fighting. As officers attempted to separate the two men, they all fell on the ground. Both
men were arrested and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters where they were charged
with simple assault and disorderly conduct, given summonses, and released. Both refused
medical attention.
5. On April 30, 2023, at approximately 2:16 a.m., Police Officers Nicholas Protopapadakis and
Keven De La Cruz were patrolling when they observed two males in a fight in front of Mike’s
Wild Moose Saloon at 30 Newark St. Officers recognized one of the men, later identified as 49-
year-old Luis Filipe Silva of Saddle River, as an individual who was involved in an earlier
altercation where no complaints were filed. Silva appeared to be highly intoxicated and began
screaming and behaving in an aggressive manner toward officers and bystanders and continued
to disregard verbal demands of officers. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct,
transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed, and released on a summons.
6. On Monday, May 1, 2023, at approximately 9:42 a.m., Detectives Fabian Quinones and Mark
Mullins were driving in the area of 300 Marshall Dr., when they observed a woman, identified as
35-year-old Claudia Pujol of Hoboken, who was known to have an active warrant for her arrest.
Officers approached Pujol, identified themselves as police, explained the reason for the stop, and
told her she was on private property. At that point, a man identified as 29-year-old Jonathan
George of Union City arrived. George was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest.
Both were placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters. George was found to have
a warrant out of West New York. Pujol had two warrants for burglary and theft issued by the
Hudson County Sheriff's Office and one warrant out of Hoboken for possession of drug
paraphernalia. Both were also issued summonses for defiant trespassing and transported to the
Hudson County Correctional Facility.
7. On May 3, 2023, at approximately 3:24 a.m., Officers Anthony Rutkowski and Daniela
Simone responded to the Mount Laurel Police Department to take custody of 40-year-old Lisa
Ramirez of Philadelphia, who was wanted on an active warrant out of Hoboken for possession of
drug paraphernalia. She was brought to Hoboken Police Headquarters, processed, and
transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
